Susan Sarandon and Richard Dreyfuss have joined Edward Norton in the cast of LEAVES OF GRASS, a new flick being made by former/ sometime actor Tim Blake Nelson.

The film revolves around Norton's, portrayal of twin brothers, one an Ivy League philosophy professor, the other a small-time and brilliant marijuana grower. The professor is lured back to his Oklahoma hometown for a doomed scheme against a local drug lord (Dreyfuss) that unravels his life.

The Hollywood Reporter says that Sarandon plays the brothers' eccentric mother, while Keri Russell, who is in final negotiations, will play a love interest.

Nelson is also in the film, playing a best friend to one of the brothers. Lucy DeVito, famous daughter of Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, and country singer Steve Earle are also in the cast, so reports the trade.

Nelson also wrote the screenplay for the film, penning it with Norton in mind in the two lead roles. What a talented guy.
