Its been 4 days since i changed the light schedule to 12/12, some are starting to show their little hair.

I check that the UVB tube worked properly.
They are set to turn on for 20 min a day at 3 pm, i will increase by 20 min a week or until i noticed heavy leaf stress.

Yeah cant wait to see how high those will get, i can lift my lights 3 feet up and those are mostly sativa, im flowering till like june.

Plants are looking good, lifted a bit the lights.
I noticed some roots seems to be drying up as they might not get water as other toots cover them, hopefully no root rot will take advange of this.
Their week of transition is done, entering flower week tomorrow.

2nd week of flower and everything is healthy, the jack herer seems to be growing faser than the other.

Decided to try the emerson effect to increase yeilds, changed the light schedule to 7h30 to 9h00 pm with some far red for 15 min after lights off.
Used 2x 730nm chip of 50w each.
We see if it works, i had to put the light at the top of the tent to have a full coverage, but this cause half the light to be lost by main light under it.
Apparently it doesnt need a whole lot so im hoping they wont reveg with the far red.

Had to chop one of the weddig cake, good thing it was the small one, i pulled him out of the tote, hopefully no root rot will start with all the leftover broken roots piece.

It’s hard to tell if they increased yields as I grew different strains each time but I definitely feel like it helped initiate flower faster with more rapid bud growth.
I’m interested to see your results and thoughts on how they work.

well im giving 13.5h of light instead of the 12h, hopefully that extra 1.5H of light a day will give more weight

Consider running a comparison sometime where you create clones and one gets the far red and the other doest to try and validate the theory. It is an interesting concept...

They seems to have recovered from the defoliation, i also noticed that the middle green crack was shorter, ended up having the side green crack completely envelopes a nozzle causing the middle one to dry up on one side, hoping for no root rot :/.
