Hmm. I thought I posted an update yesterday and the day before... High!

So, the latest..

Blueberry in the back left has now taken the lead at 19" at her peak. Pretty even canopy overall within 2" overall for all the top 12+ colas.

Oh.

I also switched up the lights. Instead of adding the 90W LED, I turned on the 250W HPS that was already in the tent and lowered the 240W LED to under 1/2 max. This has given MUCH more light, of course (theoretically and calculatably 50% more), and will give me the ability to crank it up more at the end of the photo's flowering. The Autos are progressing as expected I guess, but less admirably than the last autos I grew.

And this little guy, who I've named Leo, is still sticking around and getting something to eat apparently. The alternative is a 50ft flash-dance to the porch (through a cat infested family room) where it could potentially be 30-40degF lower which is likely a killer also. Why leave if you can chill in lizard paradise?

Blueberry and Ice Cool were looking a little piqued last night before bed so I gave them 3 16oz cups of juice and the other girls a cup +1/2. They're looking much happier today. With all that new growth coming in I need to remember to keep them almost moist during flower.

And we're moving along now! Blueberry is approaching 22" and I actually turned the led down a few dozen watts and raised it up at least 3" so far. Temp has been higher than I like with the HPS added but it's also been unseasonably warm here the last few days so I've had to use AC to keep the place cool.

Just taken... I figured a different view would spice things up. LOL

Lower left is Blue Ace. She's getting close to harvest I think. I'm gonna look at trichs this week. On her right is Jack Herer. Definitely aging slower and has at least an extra week more than BA. Blue Ace smells like a CBD flower (really odd to me that the 3 CBD plants I've grown smell the same?), more medicinal, no floral, no fruit. JH is super fruity and spicy, with a hint of pine. Really nice to rub on my fingers and inhale the terps.

Back left I was mistakenly referring to as blueberry, but in fact is Ice Cool, with Blueberry on her right. They've been in flower for like 10 days now I guess...but the stretch continues. IC is now at 24" (5" in 5 days) while Blueberry sits just behind at 22". As expected, they're still on a tear and probably have 3-4" to go. I've been feeding differently this grow. I had let them get dried out mostly 2-3x almost to wilting and fed a good amount before their bed times to have them soak in. Since flowering I've changed the schedule to almost every day smaller feedings. I can't tell if it's made a difference, but they look nice to me!

Took some more pics last night but forgot to upload.

Blue Ace is close. I looked at trichs this morning but there are still some clear and I only saw like one or two amber. While this is a primarily CBD girl, I want it to be a sleep assistant so will let her go another week probably to get some amber in there. Leaves are starting to get dark so fall is here for her and she knows her time is due.

JH still has a few weeks to go, pushing out new pistils. Will check trichs next week.

Blueberry looks nice and pretty at two weeks of flower. Looking at beginning of March for harvest for her and the next girl.

Ice cool will be the biggest I think. I'm hoping the tent gives me a pound this group, but more likely gonna be like 11 OZ altogether

Well I was close on the total height from last time... Ice Cool is topping out at 29" and Blueberry at 26" (I'll check again in a few days, but I think they're both done with the stretch, however I wouldn't mind another inch or two of fat sticky bud on top! LOL!). Blue Ace is still sitting at 90+% clear trichs and not many amber. She's still drinking water/nutes too, so I guess something is still happening. Getting more color too, darkening into blue and purple. The wait is on with JH too... turning mostly orange hairs with few new ones, but again, will be a week after BA...

Ok, I'm done with Blue Ace. Gonna chop her down. Need the space for the others, but also might decide to enter the Mars Hydro contest so have another tent...

Ever seen anything like this? Growing a single "bud" (ovule) right at the leaf stem. Weird.

Blueberry and Ice Cool had their positions swapped but facing the same direction so each side gets different light from the HPS and LED. IC sitting at 31.5" on the tallest cola and blueberry at 26.5". The stretch is over completely and now they will focus on fattening up the buds. I'm super excited about these two. They are looking really pretty so far and haven't had any issue with health or bugs or anything (knock on wood) . I'm getting low on my cbd supply and a nice big 4-5 OZ harvest from ice cool looks to be expected.

JH was calling to me two days ago and I said, "just wait until the weekend." She got a nice big drink of plain water last night before bed and will be making my evenings a happier place in a few weeks.

Also jarred up the Blue Ace, 19g plus 2 on the side for testing. First hit super tasty mint and piney. Reminds me of the first time I grew skunk #1 30 years ago. It's got me HIGH!

Was checking the weight of the JH hanging the other day and waited until today to cut her up into buds and into jars. Total jarred came to 60g. I was thinking I'd get around 2oz on this plant and she gave me a little extra. The buds seem a little "light," not too dense really so they take up more space than expected for their weight.

Haven't had a photo update in a while I see! Here we go!

I'm gonna swap Blueberry and Ice Cool left to right again to even their lighting. From what I can see, it appears the HPS makes buds grow fatter, but of course that's probably just genetics.

Given I got over 2 oz from the mediocre auto Jack Herer and less than half that for auto Blue Ace, I'm thinking each of these photos should be close to if not over 4 oz dry. I'm hoping I'm surprised by even more!

My @Mars Hydro tent is just about up and running too. Got 3 autos and a photo getting started. Once there's room here, we'll be moving some over. Will likely wait until after these harvests since I may want to grow out Zamdelica if she'll fit. Check it out here:

No close-ups today... a couple weeks of watching the girls die now...

While the girls in the little tent are just getting started, these two are approaching harvest soon. Breeders notes that each have an 8 to 9 week flower period and we just hit 7 weeks today. My first step towards that end will be to check trichs this week. I'm looking for all cloudy now and 30+% amber. I'm thinking we'll be looking at the end of the flower period to get that, so two more weeks at least probably.

Ice Cool is a day in flower longer then blueberry but looks like will go beyond her at the end too. She's not getting thick like blueberry but she looks like the bud I've seen in pictures.

And blueberry has now more than half finished pistols and tips of sugar leaves are changing, expecting fall. The temps have been low 70s and high 40s to low 50s rh% so I'm ok with that. There's some foxtailing starting to happen, but if that's because the inside is so dense it can't expand, then this is just fine with me too.

These two are both approaching end of life and on schedule. They're right at 8 weeks of flowering and I expect Blueberry to come down within the next week. Looked at trichs today and they're mostly cloudy with some amber so pretty close to perfect to me.

I bought some 5 gallon pots on a whim on the zon and will be putting Zamdelica in one when she's ready

Ice Cool is starting the beginning of the end. Almost all of the new white hairs have stopped and I'll check trichs tomorrow. Could be a harvest this weekend. = Gonna have to make room in the shower! LOL

So Ice Cool trichs are pretty much all cloudy and some amber. This weekend will be perfect for harvest. I had switched the light a week ago to turn on 1/2 earlier to speed things up adn then turned off the HPS two days ago with the LED on full to save some power. Gonna up the light to 19 hours like the little tent and move the big'uns in here (Zamdelica and Gorilla Glue) after a quick cleanup. Depending on how fast Z grows versus GG flowering and the other tent and may pop a few more seeds to get a few more oz before the summer. My plan is to skip the hot months this year in the grow and save $ on electricity. If I start Z in flower at the end of the month

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly...

Harvested Ice Cool just now. Got almost the same weight as Blueberry, a few g under 300g total (hanging). Really thought that BB was gonna outshine IC, but this girl was dried out when I took her down so she won't have to dry as much meaning her final weight will probably be more than BB. Speaking of which I just checked on the BB jars and they're sitting at 80% RH with the tops open. I did some fluffing up and spinning and re-opened them to sit in the box again. They're smelling just fine so no issues, but I may need some more ventilation around them.

The Good

The Bad (Mandarin Creme XL from the little tent is starting to bloom already. 23 days old.
