Well I know it's a shock but now you've got some training options. Two of my current plants were topped there and I'm having a great go at it! Any ideas on Lst techniques from here on out?

I was just going to repeat how I lst'ed the last two. For now though I was thinking I'd keep them upright until the new growth comes in a bit more.

I thought the benefit of topping was to increase the number of colas?

My understanding of topping is that the growing energy and the hormone s wispering the mantra "I'm the one" aka dominance of the main top is stopped when cropped and redistributed to the lower nodes. This causes branching and more than one cola competing for the top spot. The way I see it, now you got 4 or 6 baby "plants" (colas) to guide in one!

What kind of options? I'm still new to lst methods as I've only done it twice and I was basically just bending them over to increase light to the undergrowth. Basically, I follow this guide Low Stress Training (LST) Tutorial - How to Increase Yields for Free! | Grow Weed Easy

Ok. Well as I noticed the new growth at the topping sites getting bigger yesterday I decided to start the lst on Saucy Jack (Jock Horror) and Le Pew (Super Skunk) a little early and it seems to be paying off so far. I'm thinking I really might be able to spread Saucy Jack around the pot if they pick up growing where they left off. Seems like the topping only set them back about 3 days. Fine by me if it means more bud sites! Day 20 from seed...

Looking good! I'm on day 14 of my first grow (well 15 now) lol. I just started lst and topped on 12/20. I was set back pretty much the same amount of days yours was after topping. Mine looks similar to your short rider (unfortunately I just got a seed out of some bagweed so I have no idea of strain).

Well this is my second grow and one of the biggest lessons I've learned is, there's a whole lot of great advice on here, but at the end of the day, you've gotta take things into your own hands. I'll be glad to help however I can. She's looking good. Getting close to lst?

Well the lst is working like a charm and they're fully recovered from being topped. A nice even canopy to all, and to all a good night! Day 22 from seed...

Took the lst off today so the girls could work on some vertical growth. They're now all on 50% nutes and full cal mag. Day 24 from seed...

One month in. Everyone's doing just fine. Up to 32 oz. of 50% nutes 5ml cal mag water every other day. They're bushing up so much it's making it a little hard to lst without bumping all the new growth.
