Second Grow Blue Rhino & White Widow

That is nice looking, it's got an awsome shape. Good work

Thanks Monster! I owe that shape to accidentally snapping the 2 biggest branches trying to bend them lmao. I'm glad it worked out because i was ready to jump off the house after i broke the second one o_O
The plant actually didn't seem to skip a beat from either break. I'm not sure if it's great genetics or some stress reliever in one of the nutes.

About 2 and 1/2 weeks from harvest. saw a couple amber crystals already so i'm gonna hit em with the powdered kool bloom starting tomorrow. Keeping humidity as low as i can at about 40%.
pH 5.4-5 all the way through flower.

The Biggest BUDS i've ever seen in real life lmao...
this is the mainlined blue rhino. I like how it looks like it'll yield about the same as the others but takes up less space in the tent.

These are the other 2 Blue Rhinos. They both also have some pretty fat buds on them.

And the White Widow. pretty nice buds too. glad i got cuttings of her.

In this last pic the mainlined Rhino and the Widow are having a nice big lesbian kiss, and it's just too hot.

Been trying to guide some of the poor guys from reddit here for help. This IS the best place for it.

gonna chop at the end of the week. everyone looks like they'll be ready. a bit of amber showing up, hoping not to get too couch locky.

Man those are some fat colas, good luck with the chop!

Thanks Monster! chopped 2 days ago, drying in the tent with the exhaust fan on low. keeping the temp 65-70f and 50-55% humidity. some of the buds are pretty fat so i'm terrified of mold popping up. been wondering if that's the reason some say to have a dim light on while drying.

Congrats on the harvest! I feel you 100% on the mold buddy. Keeping your exhaust on low sounds like the right move to me. Drying huge buds takes a different approach than usual. I think the constant airflow is key. They may get crispy a little faster than you would like on the outside but that will take care of itself during cure and it's way better than mold. Good luck, can wait to see some pics.

here's a couple from harvest night. didn't take too many pics i was so tired from work that day and I must be doing it wrong because it took 2 of us about 6 hours to chop and trim 5 plants lol.

day 3 of drying and the buds are already kinda crispy on the outside. i'm feeling like it'll be a short dry time again. I'll probably pick the smaller buds off the branches and jar them on day 4 or 5, i'll take a big bud and see how it does in a baggy or jar over night. I have a few buds drying in a paper bag in my living room. RH is about 20% and those buds seem to be drying slower than the buds in the tent lol.

Might experiment with drying in cardboard boxes next time, or just paper bags.

scared to over dry, scared to jar too early, jesus this part is AGAIN the nervous part for me. But enjoying some finger hash already, it's always del... excited to try the blue rhino as i've never tried a high cbd strain, the breeder claims it to be and even ratio of cbd to thc.

Buds look awsome! I always feel like I take way to much time to trim. My ocd kicks in and I want every bud to look perfect
Thanks lol. The ocd thing was my major issue. I'd have to constantly snap myself out of it to move on to the next bud lmao. Interested in a bud trimmer machine now.

Just like my first journal, i guess i'm gonna finish up with a bit about cloning lol.
want to share how i've been doing it so far i'm 20/21 using this way. and it's cheap and easy. I didn't like messing around with the bubbler.

I'm trying to mimic a rapid rooter with coco. i use little peat cups and pack the coco in pretty good. little hole with a chop stick. then i dip the cutting in aloe gel, ( i don't think gel is even needed ) put in the hole and pack the coco down firmly.
then under a make shift dome.

the last batch i did turned out the best as far as not turning yellow before taking root and i think it's from a light nute foliar spray i gave them.

this time i want to wait until they no longer wilt / droop from removing the dome. that's when i know i have roots, and will start feeding 1/4 strength nutes until the roots pop out the sides of the peat cups. then up pot.

i realize seeds are better but clones are free and i'm gonna start taking bigger and bigger cuttings just to see. for now 4" cuttings is what i've been taking.

ended up with 19 oz from the 3 blue rhinos and 11 oz from the 1 white widow. white widow wins for sure. just shy of 2lbs. mostly really nice nugs.
