SYDNEY - Two more houses in the Sydney suburb of Blair Athol have been uncovered as secret cannabis farms, taking the total value of drugs seized in the area this week to more than $7 million.

Four houses within a few dozen metres of each other in the south-western suburb have now been raided since the start of the week.

Police raided the third house, on The Kraal Drive, on Wednesday night and allegedly netted cannabis plants worth $1.2 million. Officers seized almost 300 plants, as well as cut cannabis and hydroponic equipment, police said.

Police swooped on the fourth house at 10am (AEST) on Thursday and found yet another hydroponic set-up. Officers were still examining the site and had yet to estimate the value of the drugs.

Police have launched Operation Moonlight to examine possible links between the drug houses.

All four houses contain secret passageways and false walls used to conceal hydroponic cannabis operations, police allege. Police have not ruled out finding further cannabis farms in the suburb and are investigating whether a criminal syndicate is operating in the area.

A 54-year-old man was due in Campbelltown court on Thursday charged in connection with a raid on Wednesday morning on a house on Blair Athol Drive.

Following a tip-off, police said they found 350 cannabis plants worth an estimated $1.5 million inside the house. Cannabis plants worth more than $4 million were discovered on Monday in a house at nearby The Kraal Drive, which runs off Blair Athol Drive.

More than 500 cannabis plants were seized in that raid, ranging in size from seedlings to plants 1.5 metres tall.

So, pigs in australia think they're terrorists. This is getting so damn boring, numbers of plants, monetary value, names of alleged growers, etc. It's like watching the body bags coming back from viet nam early 70's. car and beer commercials, we have to make this madness go away for real, and get on with the business of living.
