Seedling leaves turning white

Hey guys,

Just started a couple new seeds and haven’t encountered this issue with seedlings before. The leaf is bright beige and the other leaf has white spots. One of my other seedlings are starting to turn white at the tip as well.

Both sitting 2” away from 2x 23W 6500k CFL’s, pH is 7, temperature has been steady at 27 degrees Celsius and RH of 40%.

Medium is hummus, perlite, peat moss and vermicelli.

Feeding plain 6.5ph water, no nutes.

Any help is much appreciated!

After reading for you.. This is cause by overwatering seedling. Let the soil dry up.. You'ld be suprised to see how much water stil remains at the bottom of soil in big containers.. Dont give it water for 5-7 days.. It wil bounce back.. Light around 4 inch no closer and temps around 22-25. Otherwise if you keep kt this way it will die by drowning..

White spots look like light burn from water drops.
White tip nutrient problem

I thought vermiculite was a soil topping to stop fungus gnats?
Or do you really have spaghetti in your soil mix?
