Seedsupreme 1x Dinamed CBD Auto, 2x Blue Dream Auto, 2x THC Bomb Auto 2x 600w Mh/HPS Indoor Grow-August 2018

Hey friend saw your thread asking for help. Thanks for keeping such detailed information and records.

What are you using to read moisture levels? I am not sure if I read correctly, but you watered two plants a gallon between them? And another between the other two? So each got half a gallon?

You said these were 3 gallon or 5 gallon pots?

Well, they look over-watered and not big enough for those pots yet in my opinion, but I don't know what you're using as a moisture meter. Be sure that you're putting the probe real far down to the bottom of the pot to take those readings. Cannabis doesn't like its feet to be kept wet for long, and even if it's dry half-way down the pot, if it's moist all the way down for very much longer than 5 days, the plant tends to suffer. The leaves begin to get droopy while still remaining full of turgor pressure ( as opposed to the wilting droop you'd see from underwatering ).

I'd also suggest bumping your pH up on the feeds. In soil you want to be more in the 6.5 pH range. I'm not sure where you read to go for 6, but that's more for soilless (Promix, Sunshine, etc. ) or coco than for soil. Ocean Forrest, you definitely want to be in the 6.5-6.8 range. I do see some common tell-tales that point to pH like the ridged looks on your leaves.

To check I would let them dry out nice and well, wait until they JUST start to wilt to water them again. When you do pH to 6.5 and use about half of what you've been giving them, so 1 quart ( .25 gal ) each or just until you see run-off. In my experience pots that size don't need half a gallon of water each feed, especially with plants that size in them, but just give enough water that you see it start to come out of the bottom. A lot of people say to water to 25% runoff to avoid salt buildup but it's easy to over-shoot that mark so for now just water until you JUST see runoff starting to come out so you can rule out over-watering.

Ocean Forrest is also pretty rich already so stay in that 200 ppm range you're feeding now. It's definitely NOT a deficiency, so don't be tempted to add more nutrients at this point.

Good luck with it, hope it helps. Post updates, I'm subbed.

Hey thanks for the info! The probe is a 4-1 soil probe I got online. It’s nothig special but it does the job and works pretty well.

I have two 3 gallon pots and two 5 gallon pots
The plants in question are in one of each
Also they are getting half a gallon each give or take the 5gal gets a little more.
I don’t agree with you on the pot sizes being to big but to each his own. :passitleft:

I will take the advice and adjust PH. I have pretty much been following close to how I did it my first grow and I used low 6s and everything was great.
I will adjust though because I do think that was some of the issue.

Also I have been getting about 20% runoff with a half gallon each. But I will monitor it better and adjust if needed.

Sorry not trying to tell you you're doing stuff wrong or made wrong choices. May have come off as know it all.

What I mean to point out about your pot size relative to your plant size is that the roots aren't filling up the whole space in the pot so it can be easier to over water a small plant in a big pot versus a plant that's about as tall and wide as the pot it's in. But it looks like you have fabric pots which will help a lot.

I use one of those meters, but I have another one that's not so accurate. What I do is dry the plant out just until it's barely starting to wilt, and then I make note on the meter what moisture level that was and water when it's a few points above that. Mine also has 12 inch probes so that I know it's reading the moisture all the way to the bottom. My other meter only has 6 inch probes and when it reads dry the bottom half of the pot is still sopping wet.

Anyway hope the plants improve :)

You didn’t come off as a know it all.
Just most everything I’ve read about growing autos say start in the final pots, because of their short life spans you want to avoid anything super stressful like transplanting or topping.

That being said I did start one of the thcbombs in a solo cup and transplanted after 8-10 days. I definitely wouldn’t want to do another transplant.

It’s nothing special but it reaches the bottom of the pots and I also take readings from opposite sides of the pot.

My first grow was a year ago I did 14 white widow
I LST’ed 6, topped 4, supercropped 2, and let the other 2 do their own thing.
I liked the colas I got from topping
but the colas that came up from the LST plants were pretty cool looking. I wish I still had pics from the end of that grow.

Also you would surprised at how bendable they are. The part that sucks is it can get time consuming and later on in the grow when their is a bunch of branches tied down it can get crammed down low. And unlike topping you have to keep adjusting them every couple days. Topping you do once and that’s it (unless) you double top.
Thanks

Ok so I’ve been on vacation for a week and had my sis taking care of things for me.

So on DAY 39 1&2 got a little bit lighter of a feeding DAY 40 3&4 got the same feeding
I went light do to a ph issue mentioned above

3ml calmag, pinch Epsom salt, 2ml micro, 1 ml gro, 3 ml bloom, 1ml rapid start, .625ml liquid koolbloom, 5 drops floralicious plus, 1 ml Humboldt honey, 2ml floralblend

DAY 41 I realized I over did it and flushed each plant with two gallons of ph’ed R/O water to 6.50-6.74

DAY 45 they where dry and ready for water so they got 3 gallons of R/O with 3ml calmag and a pinch of Epsom and ph’ed to 6.62-6.65.

DAY 48 they were dry and ready again so they got fed. I lowered the nitrogen by dropping some nutes.

3ml calmag, pinch of Epsom, 2.5ml micro, 4ml bloom, 2 ml liquid koolbloom, 5 drops floralicious plus, 2 ml Humboldt honey.

Today DAY 51. Plants 1,3,4 look decent but 2 has a lot of dead leaves that look like they were burned from the previous low PH.

Pics were taken with lights on through my HID glasses

I copyied most of this updated from a post I made a little while ago. The last two pics are plant number 2.

DAY 56: the problem I had with nitrogen toxicity hasn’t really gotten better. 1&2 are taking the brunt of it 3 looks ok and 4 Is tall and lanky.
I should have done more LST training to 4 , she would have filled out more.

You can see in the pictures what I mean by 1&2 are the worst off. The buds actually looking like their doing ok.

Day 55 they each got feed a gallon each

4ml calmag, pinch of Epsom, 4ml floral bloom,
2ml Liquid koolbloom, 5 drops floralicious plus, 3ml honey.

#4 is 15 days behind the rest but she’s still looking a little lite.

DAY 62: #2 was flushed yesterday and today #1 is getting flushed.

Remember #4 is 13 days behind

DAY 71: today was Harvest day for THC Bomb number 1. The trichomes were starting to turn Amber. It wasn’t at the 40% Amber that everyone likes to do, I would say 20%!
I ordered a small tent for drying last week and was very happy when I got home today and saw it had arrived.

i will post more pics later!

Today I jarred up number 1, number two was transferred to a card board box hanging from strings with newspaper covering the box.

Numbers 3 & 4 are still going strong. I flushed them with 5ml floralkleen and ph’ed to 6.5-6.8

#2 before I trimmed and moved to the box.

DAY 95: Harvested DinaMed CBD Auto today!!!
She was by far the best out of the three I’ve harvested already. I think she’s going to beat White Widow XTRM Auto but well she.
Btw: WW xtrm is at DAY 83 and still going strong!

Can’t wait to see what she weights. Also thinking off making butter/oil with her while she’s fresh since most of it will is going to edibles anyway!?!

Day 101: Dinamed CBD Auto was moved from drying tent to Cure jars. Dry Weight was 61.7 grams bud and 22 grams trim. I am pleased with the results.
I having some thinking and planning regard my drying tent. The humidity fluctuates to much and I don’t really like how it dried. But overall I’m happy.

I harvested White Widow XTRM Auto today day 89 for that plant. From first guess it looks like she put out pretty good but we will see after drying.

Except for finally dry weight for WW XTRM this journal is complete

The White Widow buds are dry enough to be jarred up. Total dry Weight came to 54g flower and 11.8 trim
Over all I’m happy can’t wait to taste the cured product.

This journal is now Completed!
