Well this is my second attempt at a grow. The first time I made all the newbie mistakes all at the same time. Heat stress to start, followed by nute burn, and last severe overwatering of the rockwool cubes which stunted growth and eventually killed my 6 week old seedlings that looked as if they were 13 days old.
well here I go again
strain- 4 northern lights and 4 lemon skunk
lights- seedlings 40 watt flouro and 1000 watt mh on 50%
System- Versagrow drip system 10 gallon res
medium- grow stone rocks
nutes- white widow root powder, humboldt master A and B, Humboldt Ginormous.
Day 13 seedlings.
Well here I am again I will let the pics speak for themselves on plant development. I need u guys to help me with this one because these are my last seeds and the money is gettin tight. Tonight I took 2 of the plants downstairs to the veg room under the 1000 watt mh light set at 50 %. The light is about 3 feet above the top of the plants. A small fan is blowing a light breeze across the plants and a humidifier is running next to the setup. I decided to only bring 2 down to start in case something goes wrong, I'll have the other 6 upstairs. Both plants had about 6 or 7 half inch to inch long roots coming out of the cubes so I sprinkled a little white widow root powder under the rockwool cubes and planted them in the grow stone. The ph of the res is 6.0 and I have quarter strength humbolt master A and B in the res. But I do not have the dippers in the media yet for fear of over watering or until I heard from the experts. Until then, I decided to water them by hand for a few days as the rockwool cube drys out. When it appears dry I will spray the cubes by hand until root structure develops. Any advice is greatly appreciated, I want to make the most of this one.

Oh forgot to mention room temp is steady 71.3*F
Room humidity is 45% with a humidifier I may have to add a second one or should I put some clear plastic cups over the plants?

I have put clear plastic cups with a hole or two in the top for seedlings, sometimes a sandwhich bag .biggest thing is to remember what you did the last go round and learn from it.i to would hand water the seedlings till they catch.also make sur your fan is on low or not pointed directly at plant,i usually make the fan point at a wall to bounce air around instead of at plants.mayb try a bucket of water with the fan blowing over it to help increase humidity.and another tip I can offer you is to log your daily maintenance and the environmental factors, this will help you in dialing in your grow space.good luck guy.keep us updated

This is day 2 under mh. The room temp was at 69* so I turned the light from 50% to 75% and raised it up a little. It brought the room up to a steady 72*. Do u think they can handle this because I have to work over night and will not be able to check on them? Sorry my pics are to the side.

Well this is a comparison today of the six plants in the tray under the flouros vs the 2 plants I transplanted into the hydro unit under 1000 watt mh at 50% the leaves in the hydro unit definitely appear to be bigger but I'll give it a few more days before I transplant all of them.

All of my plants are in their new home today and I will continue to hand feed them until they have a strong root structure. The last plant I brought down appears to have a small deficiency. It has slight yellowing with green veins.

Re: Sheeds - 1000 Watt MH/HPS - Versagrow Hydroponic Drip System - 10 Gallon Reservoi

Coming to the end of my third week. My ppm is 400, rh 50%, temp is 74*. I am still watering them twice every 24 hours, the rw cube seems to hold moisture a long time and cubes are normally still damp when I water them again. I moved my 1000 watt mh set to 75% down a few inches. Do u think I should continue to hand water through week 4 or put them on a watering schedule. I just want to stay as far as possible from over watering this time around. Also when I added more nutes the one dicolored plant started getting green again.

Re: Sheeds - 1000 Watt MH/HPS - Versagrow Hydroponic Drip System - 10 Gallon Reservoi

Well here I am at the first day of week 4. So far so good. I cleaned the whole system today and gave them a fresh dose of nutrients. My ppm is 550 and ph is 5.4 to 6.1. The temp of the room is 79.1 f and rh is 52%. I'm using Humboldt master A and B at 40ml For the 10 gallon res. Also using White Widow root powder, 3 teaspoons to help build up the root mass. The 1000 watt Mh is on 75% and about 2 feet above the canopy. I am thinking about topping them soon but I will give them a few more days. I am still handwatering them and I keep the pump running to keep the nutes mixed and so the water is not just stagnant in the res. I water them thoroughly once every 12 to 15 hours and I have not put them on a watering schedule yet. When they have a good root mass and are drinking a lot more I will put the dippers in the grow stone and let them get busy. Any advice for this stage? Advice on topping, like when is the best time. When should I turn up to full blast with the light?

Im in my last week of veg I stopped posting because people were not replying to me... The stems are super thick and I took 16 clones that are going in the veg room when I move these to the flower room. Any advice for my first week of flowering would be appreciated... Should I defoliate or what.. Or remove bottom growth..
