This weekend I think I'm going to finally get out my mini-dishwasher and bubble bags and process all the trim and the huge number of 2"x4" pucks I have saved up into some ice hash which I will then press too. Pretty excited to see how that process goes!!
I like your method a LOT. It's the cardboard drying that you do for a week? Your cardboard picture didn't have rings of moisture around the patties... I'm guessing you either change cardboard or have another step?
Never tried hash ball smash b4 but I assume you can put in filter bag and smash . yes card board dries it out faster wicks water from Pattie up. That pic was right after I made them . I usually leave longer but I wanted to be able to roll into ball.
