Size of pots

Hi guys i have a question for you all. Friend and i are debating on size of grow pots. I have 20 gallons and 30 gallons grow pots friend tells me that I should wait before putting plant that is in a 5 gallon pot. its been there for a few weeks and i decided to put her in a 20 gallon. whats your take on pot size

Since it looks like you're in soil I'll jump in and say up-potting in stages is about the roots/soil ratio and the chance of root rot.
Why Transplant Into Larger Pots in Stages?

yea ok but the roots were almost on te sides of the 5 gallon and they were at the bottom so I think it should be fine.
I hear folks saying to add them in the grow pots faster because there not plastic pots. The roots seem to really grow fast in them

I think the article is written based on the assumption that the roots have filled whatever (and whatever kind of) pot it's in, hence the need for transplant. The question is whether to jump from a 5 gallon to a 20 gallon pot, and the answer is only if you're very careful with your watering!

well sir its trial and error I'm sure it will be fine at the end . I feed them twice a week my lights are on 18/ 6 all the other plants have been in the 5 gallon for about a few weeks they are all clones in reality they are 5 month old. the purple K is 2 1/2 month old. there growing but I find them a litle slow. temp is 28 degrees humidity is 92 percent fresh air from outside vent
