Skoondawg's Coco Grow - GSC and Lemon Haze - SCROG - 400w HPS - 2nd Grow

Nice! Good to see I'm not the only one using string for a scrog. I spent a bunch of time though tying it into a net, nothing major but much less work than what you got I reckon. Do you weave them at all or is it just lying on top of each other?

String works surprisingly well hey. I basically tied lengths of string from one side to another, and then the next side to side of string was weaved up and over the initial lengths of string. This top net is also only for support and to direct them into spaces. The original scrog is below and is made from pvc coated wire fencing. But i used string in my first grow without any problems. If you tie it tight enough it will do fine :)

Your girls are looking good bro!!! Awesomeness!!!

Thank you brother! You got a journal going or nah?

Both set ups looking on point! It looks like the older ladies are starting to get nice and chunky and those younger ones just starting to stack.

Keep up the awesome work Skoon!:bravo:

Thanks CK! Hoping they get a bit more chunky before they get cut :p But definitely liking the way they look. Last grow was barely frosty, this is nice :D Exciting times! Hope you're well man :) Ive been quiet but am keeping tabs on everyones grows. Most seem to be killing it so there isnt much to say but observe :p

❄️❄️❄️❄️ all over the place.

Snowing in Cape Town its getting so frosty haha. Gonna see them tomorrow again so will have further updates :) Thanks for dropping by even when im so quiet! Your nute schedule is doing me well :) Thanks for that!

Looking good brother. Getting some nice frost as well.

Thanks Blaze - i do envy your lights though. Definitely shows in the size of those main colas you have! I have little miniature versions haha

Hello all :)

GSC and LH - Around middle week 7 or around about start of week 7

So id say they have about 2 weeks or so left. Breeders say theyre +- 9 week strains. We will begin monitoring trichomes from now :)

One more week of nutes and then will begin flushing. Ive heard a few different opinions on this. Do we just flush for a week with plain tap water that is ph'ed? Or do we forgo the ph'ing and just use plain tap water? If the idea is to get the plant to leach the rest of the nutes out of itself then skipping the ph step makes some sense because we dont want the plant to take up anything any longer? What are your thoughts on that peeps?

Will just jump into pics tbh, not much else to say :)

6 GSC Clones - 16 days since 12/12

In the last 5 days they actually grew a hell of a lot. They began stretching initially and then almost stopped and and now since the last 5 days have grown quite a bit. Going to defoliate tomorrow, need them to stop stretching now as we dont have much more height to play with, plus a small 250w bulb wont penetrate too deep. So if they stay as they are im kinda happy :)

What's up peeps :)

GSC and LH:

They are about starting week 9 more or less. I want to harvest the following Friday on the 25th of August - taking into account the set back, that will be plus minus 70 days from 12/12, right in the middle of the breeders bloom time. Looking at trichomes id say they are mostly cloudy; like 70% or so, so by next Friday I think they'll be pretty much ready to be chopped. The GSC is definitely showing some shades of purple. Probably due to the low night temp locking out some of the phosphorous (I think that's how it happens).

The last of the nutrient mix is almost finished, a couple of days, then will begin flushing with just water that is ph'ed. That will be around 8-9 days of flushing which should be enough in coco :)

This harvest will consist of a lot of popcorn smaller buds with a few nicer ones up top. Not what I wanted but it's all a learning curve. Hopefully can still hit a nice yield. They're definitely smelling amazing and really frosty which is nice to see.

6 GSC ladies:

These are on day 27/28 so starting week 5 tomorrow. They too are a bit too tall for my liking, stretch was weird on these. They started then stopped and then suddenly stretched way up till end of day 22 or so. Because of the mess up in the tent we didn't have the benefit of knowing the stretch exactly with the GSC.

Anyway, they are happy it seems :) they are beginning to throw lots of hairs out, and hopefully will stack a bit more than the tent. I trimmed them good and cut off smaller branches down below, to have fewer shoots but more bud hopefully.

I have to finish both grows up before 20 September, and these girls will be on day 65. Therefore to speeder things up a bit I have changed to light schedule to 13 hours darkness and 11 hours of light. I know I will suffer with yield but I need this grow to go quickly. Therefor will be an interesting test for myself and for the forum. Interesting to see how much quicker they do mature if they in fact mature quicker and also how the yield is impacted.

Onto pics:

Hey all :) Just some pics for now. Will have an update at the end of the weekend :) The girls in the tent are being harvested in a week from today, they're getting just ph'd water at the moment.

The clones in the box are coming up to end of week 5 i believe.

Nicely done man. I'm interested to find out what the final weight will be, looks plenty

Thanks JH :) Im also really curious what the weight will be! Goal is 300g

What's up, looks really good man, love the double scrog idea, I may adopt it next round. Buds looking good though!

Hey Kevin :)

Thanks for the words! The double scrog is actually the result of the ladies streching a bit too much, thus i wanted a secondary net so i could disperse the shoots into their own spaces so there were no colas growing on top each other!

Harvest in 5-6 days, looking forward to it indeed:cheer:
