Skunkpilot's Bubblelicious & BlackJack Regular Grow - 2013

Ok folks, time for another journal. I have made a few changes in the grow room, and am just finishing a quick grow while I was waiting for my seeds to arrive. Although my first shipment from Nirvana did not arrive, they and Weed Portal resent a partial order and it arrived last week. I have heard from several people that..., "They should have resent the whole order!" , but I realize that Nirvana does not run the USPS, Customs, or anybody else in the shipping trail, so I appreciate the customer service.

I placed 4 Blackjack, 4 Bubblelicious, and 15- 8 year old bag seeds into the Hydrofarms Hothouse. After soaking all the seeds in shot glasses of water for 12 hours, I planted all the seeds into the pre soaked pellets and plugged in the heating pad. All of the Nirvana seeds broke ground within 36 hours and not one of the bag seeds have. I have 8 little plants reaching for the lights. 8 for 8 is sweet.

Cocor and Perlite 80/20
2- 1 quart baskets placed into an 18 Gal tub filled with Medium.
6- 26 watt (100 Watt eq. ) 6500k CFL's Germ Room
1- 400 watt HID MH air cooled hood
1- 1000w HID HPS Air cooled hood
72-85 deg F
35-60 % RH
I will be adding Co2 to the room next week.

I ordered regular seeds so I will be breading for MM, clones and seeds for future grows. I have gotten tired of going to the local collective and picking a few sickly clones that seldom seem like the strain that they are labeled.

I am a voyeur so I can see when the lights are on, off, Co2, temp and humidity from the monitor in the grow room, any computer with network access or my smart phone. Gives me a lot more freedom but still aware of my grow.

Any and all advice will be accepted, judged and possibly ignored as usual, but we will have fun.

Thanks for viewing.

That is so true skunk, seems they will label it with a nice name that jumps out you, for the wrong reasons..
Starting to see that most of these "Medical Dispensaries" are starting to stray to the same guidelines.. which arent good.
Kudos on the bean selection, killer genetics. Not to mention your monitoring system, super legit!!
Glad to see another skunkpilot journal!

Welcome CA215, BlazeMatic1 and KingJohnC. This journal will take us from seed, transplant, veg, clone, veg, sex, clone, veg, flower, pray, harvest, cure and inhale. I plan to keep the genetics pure so I will be keeping the males separated and plan to brush the pollen on a separate female in a separate room.

Here are a few pics of the new girls.

re: Skunkpilot's Bubblelicious & BlackJack Regular Grow - 2013

Well, I'm back. It's been a hectic week and it's only Tuesday. My dad was placed in hospice in our home last week and just getting him settled and comfortable has been an experience. It's kind of nice to walk out to the grow room, tinker and burn one to relax and settle my head. Anyway, on to the grow.

I have made a few changes to the Germ room for better temperature control and upgraded the electrical so all outlets are controlled by digital timer relays. Found them on flebay ~10.00 USD, they have battery backup and a little red light that goes on when energized. (it's the little things in life that excite me) :3:
It should be fully controlled so I can leave for a few days without worrying about the cheap timers I had been using. I still need to install the 400 watt MH and fan but I have a couple days until needed.

It's been a while since I have updated this thread so....

I installed a 400 watt MH for the veg room, added more lights to the germ/clone box, added the Co2 and controller, finished cleaning up the electrical and the timers. I still need to build the Hydro system but I was amazed how much I have accomplished.

I decided to swap out the 18 gal tub that I used as the reservoir for a 10 gal one. The pump I am using isn't pumping the volume I had planned so, I downsized and it seems to work better. We are always learning.

I need to take the time this weekend to clone the plants. They are getting huge and they need to be sexed. Clones will be vegged for 7 to 10 days, then right into the flower room.

Thanks for the attaboy guys. I am trying to make this grow setup for ease and the ablity to leave them for up to a week. With the cameras, it makes it easier to see when I screw up. Last week I turned on the relay for the Co2 to test the placement of the exhaust tube and left it on. Three hours later, I looked at the camera and saw the Co2 monitor "hi" and thought... opps, I shouldn't have smoked that last hit. :roorrip:

I finished wrapping the Veg room fan and duct with insulation. I still have to wrap the Flower room fan and duct.

I need to harvest soon. I'm running out and it would suck to have to buy some. I am planning to start cloning this weekend. Wish me luck. I've read a lot about it. Can't be that hard as I believe I have all I need.
