Slight confusion on the dwc!

if no question is a stupid question i have a question then. i am setting up a dwc system but before i begin this amazing journey i wanna know how long do i need to water, should i go all day 24hrs or what...... lmk please,

Well a DWC setup is a hydroponic system, so it always should have water in it.
