I have a couple of those trays. A 3gal pot fits snug edge to edge. Can barely fit 2 in there. I wouldn't put 1 in there, lol.

What kind of drainage do their buckets provide?

I got 9 1 inch holes along the bottom. I really think it was a lack of watering.

i think it was/is a fert/watering issue

and i mention 'was' cuz they are lookin pretty good right now,, over the hump perhaps,, nice workin it
