:welcome:

Hello people and wecome to my growing journal.

I havent done this for a while, hopefully I wont mess this up :loopy: This time I am a little anxious and decided to start before my tent, lights and other stuff arrives. I just placed my seed in paper towels and put in a bag. I will start with 45w LED untill 300w one arrives as it should take a while.

As for now I'll just post the equipment I will be using, I will keep you updated once there will be changes! Most of the stuff should be here next week :dreamy:

TENT
Black Orchid Indoor Grow Light Box 50x50x100cm
Yes, I will be using a very small tent, I am short on space

STRAIN:
Fast Bud #2 Autoflower from sweet seeds
It's indica, sativa and pretty sure a bit of ruderalis mix.
It takes 7.5 Weeks From Germination to finish
40-90cm

LIGHTS
After about 2-3 weeks I will get 300W UFO LED.
Until then, I will be using 45W LED panel.
I will veg for 20/4
Flowering - 16/8 since it's an auto

SOIL
For first week or 2 I will be using Verve Sowing & Cutting Compost 12l, however I heard it might have slightly too much nutes for young plants, so I have flushed it and waiting to be used.
Later on - 40% Plagron bat mix 40% Varve one and 10% Perlite in 6l air pot

FANS
Exhaust 13W fan with 4" carbon filter
6" 15w fan to run air around the tent

FERT
I have Miracle-Gro Continuous Release Plant Food Fertilizer Tablets in case if I need more food for them, however soil is quite rich already, might not even need them
Also, Fox Farm Tiger Bloom

Right so that's pretty much my setup, on top of that obviously I will have a fan speed controler and timer for my lights. Here are some pictures to get the idea what is currently going on.

Im using simply deep cup as it's an autoflower and they really like transfering, but it's just waiting to be used for now. Ill get my 6l air pot soon anyway. Cant wait to setup my tent :nomo:

Day one.. Brings tears to my eyes

Re: Soil 300W Mars LED Sweet Fast Bud #2 Auto Fem

She moved, she moved, she moved!
Ups, I guess I am a little excited :cheesygrinsmiley: She finaly hit her shell and small tiny root is coming out, germination completed.

Root is very small, but there is no really a reason to hold her between tissues anymore, I transfered her to her temporary pot.

Also a little update regards the lights. I have decided to go for Mars LED instead of UFO, Mars looks a little more liable after doing some research. Also I wont be using 45w anymore, straight to 300w.

Here you go, a tiny cute root porn for your eyes, this tiny seed will grow into something massive soon :high-five:

Let the game begin :Namaste:

Hey man welcome to the forums. Looks like you know your way around here that's great. It all looks good on your part, I use Mars Hydro products myself and with 100% satisfaction and fast shipping. Right now I have 300W LED grow ongoing. I do recommend you to have PH kit and blue and yellow sticky traps to control pests those basic tools can prevent a lot of trouble. I have heard 20/4 all the way gives best results for autos, but I do not grow autos so that counts as myth. Feel free to ask anything as I'm subbed. Happy growing. :Namaste:

Subbed in and bringin' popcorn. I am in planning stages for first grow (bag seed), but my 2nd will be Jack Herer AUTO Fem, so I'm very interested in your journey with your autos!:cheer:

Did you only germinate the one seed?

Hey guys! :high-five: thanks for your support, welcome and goodluck with your ladies!

I will definately grab those tools, they are already on my list. Not best time to do this now as this setup already costed a bit... :cheesygrinsmiley:

Dont wanna sound cocky and end up getting bad karma, but I am not really good at killing plants, I plan to grow just one as tent is quite small so I germinated just one seed. Might end up in awkward situation if I had 2 or more young plants for that small tent.

Some sort of update today. It was really good day, got back home and found 8 packages waiting for me, most of the stuff arrived. :yahoo: Put some Marley to play in a background and put that setup in action. Kinda would prefer a taller tent, but oh well... :laughtwo:

So the 45w actually arrived, and is now glowing, but I'll get rid of it after couple days, doesn't look reliable. Mars LED should arrive in next 2-3days.

I haven't used LED before, but daamn it's so bright and it's not a good idea to look at it, sadly I had to learn it the hard way

Anyway, here's what my tent looks like now

If that one seed turns out to be male... you'll have to start over. I understand about not wanting to kill potential when you kill a plant, but... maybe germinating two or three, at least? Eh, we all do it our own way, no big!

Nice setup man, but you should put the outtake fan on top of your tent as the heat rises up. Otherwise you suck in hotter air and mix it outside with the colder air. The opposite is what you want to keep the temps in check. Around 80F (25°C) is good. Also the intake hole should be in the furthest possible place from the outtake. I also recommend you getting oscillating fan, blue and yellow traps and PH kit. It can save you a lot of trouble and I wouldn't grow without them. I keep mine light some 12-15' (30-40cm) from the plant. But I have 3W diodes, you might want to keep it higher. I would ask Sara about that, she knows her light pretty good. Happy growing! :Namaste:

Hey Tomula, nice to see you here again :high-five:

Oh silly me, not to think of something that obvious... :wood: Anyway, thanks for the tip, that's exactly what I have just done.

An a very tiny update, she just got out of her shell completely, now scretching and reaching for the light. Currently 13" away from the 45W, I'll put her on the bottom of the tent once 300w in installed, dont want her to stretch too much.

I forgot the rules of this game, should I count today as day one, or should I count since I put her in paper towels to germinate? :hmmmm:

I count day one from breaking ground, but I guess you can count anyway you want it cos it's just few days....

I got my new Mars 300W LED delivered today, however it's fan quite too loud for my stealth grow, and I'm not sure if it's 300w is necessary for seedling. Any idea if I can use this fan speed controller to decrease amout of light produced and fan speed with it? Or does it kinda sound not safe to use such device on light? :hmmmm:

Also, my tent

How big are those fans? I have replaced the original fans on my light, but there were very small. There is a power source for the fans and I you can make controller for that. Or you can use your outtake and modify the light to outtake the air through it. You can use the light dimmer but the LEDs are not dimmable and you can damage them or it will not work at all so I do not recommend it at all. Here is the diy scheme.

Why did I skipped physics class, I literaly have no idea what this scheme is showing. Anyway I guess I'll just leave it as it is for now. It's not THAT loud that I would actually wish to modify it, I just dont like that I can actually hear it because so other people could if they were to enter my room. Living in a shared house is a pain :cheesygrinsmiley: Btw, what do you think about that 300w shining on young seedling?

I am currently on my very first grow, and I also have a 300W LED on my plant. Been there since day 1 and while I'm a newbie myself, my plant is beautifully green and growing like crazy. I'm on day 6 now. Just some input :)

Hi there buddy, thanks for passing by. I guess I'm ok to keep her under 300w. I'll join in your journal to watch your growth! :thumb:

High there.
I like your attitude and confidence.:thumb:
Best Wishes for your grow.
I'm a little concerned at the slow release feeding in your MG nutes.
Have you grown with these nutes before? Were you satisfied with the results?

Welcome to my journal, Sensei. Thank you for passing by and for you kind comments :adore:
I haven't really tried them at all, I'm pretty sure I wont even need them as soil is already quite rich. It's just as a back-up plan in case if necessary. It's like a little pebbels, I used something similar before and it worked pretty nicely. Hopefully I wont even need them :hmmmm:
