Soil - CFL - NL Auto x Blueberry Auto

Hey Wiccini!

Holy sh*t. I wouldn't even have considered LST in this dimension. It's very educational, thanks for sharing.
You said, you feel you been grinding them too hard. Can you say more about this?

And in general: Why do you want to keep them so tiny until stretch?

Will definitely watch your journal.

Good luck, man.
:cheer:

Hi GrowVital!! Well i was worried about reaction of AF on this cruel LST, defo + topping, but my concerns were unfounded:) She is doing great:) and i am keeping her so low because i know, that AF should start flowering at 3-4th week right? But with this LST and other stuff she will have 1-2 weeks delay....i guess:). That means, she should start with pre-flowers in 4-5th week and will continue to grow until 6-7 week. So my goal is to have as many branches as possible and total high under 30 cm. But this everything is only in my head, in my theoretical level, cause am doing this for the first time:)

I hope ive explain it good enough, english is not my strong side :D

Have a greeny day guys!!!

Maybe new photo will explain my plans better :D .... just 24 hours after newhaircut and look how big is difference :) new branches just appeared :) 1 additional info about this grow, i am still using only root booster, no fertilizers, nothing, tommorow i will start with fertillizers for growing phase. Thats means no fertillizers for first 26 days. I prefer strong root system :) i will use growing fertillizers just for 3 weeks +-

Day 27, pre-flower just showed up today:) few pics for you guys, Eleanor is not ready yet:) because am greeedy and i want more branches:) but can I? Yes, I can!! Ive decided to continue with LST at least 1 more week....pushing to the limits guys!!!

Have a great weekend:)

Day 31. I am done with LST, no more bending in 1st week of flowering, i have ca 30 primary branches and ca 15 secondary, which am trying to bring to the life. Now i am very curious what high will my Eleanor reach in next 2 weeks, hoping for 20 cm. But of course i know that my yield could be also negatively affected with cruel trainning, with low yield, density etc etc. I knew about this risk but honestly, am very casual smoker, so i just wanna have some fun with my ladies :D and try something new.

Let it snow guys!!!

day 36, and Eleanor is 10 cm higher as she was after last LST, i hope for another 10:) here are few pics, on the first u can see one of secondary branch, well, thx lst shes not secondary anymore:) I had a visit yesterday, and friend of mine asked me how many plants i have there...i had to smile :) Well its kinda bush and i am afraid that not every branch have enough light, but i am not sure if am i allowed to defoliate if flowering already started...any1 could maybe give some advice? :)

Have a great day guys!

I think you have to let it rest until week 2 of flower, before doing more defoliation, because of the stress.
(Should double check, though!)

Flower soon! Can't wait to see, bro.

Big thx GrowVital, because of you i have found new small experiment which i can apply on Eleanor:) I was reading a little after your advice and i found some rly good articles about using defoliation as a tool for increasing yield. Shortly explained in two days i will defoliate 20% of all leafs by these rules:

defo
-big fan leaves
-leaves laying on top each other
-leaves laying on the ground
-leaves with any dissease
-leaves with to many or too less fingers or damaged
-leaves hiding buds from the light

I will defo once now in two days and then again after 2 weeks. Lets see if it works :)

Anyway here is picture, Eleanor gone crazy, ripped out all hooks :)

Day 47. And big Day for Eleanor. Defoliation was made and i hope it will help my Lady. Here are few pics before Defo, after, my biggest Cola:) atm is Eleanor at high 28-32 cm, and i cant be more happy:) Now lets hope for big yield :)

Hey bro, glad to see that you keep on having fun with it!
"Strategical defoliation" is super interesting and I think one of the biggest skills to learn.

Let's be honest. We don't really help the plant here, we feed into our own dream of big fat buds.
And while it is proven to be successful, it does hurt the plant.

I guess the skill here is to ever only make meaningful cuts at times when the plant has room to handle some extra stress.

Cut too much and you slow down the growth in a way where the extra light on buds makes only a small difference (to none at all).
Cut too little and cutting doesn't make sense - you gave stress without achieving an effect.

When, what, why... Make meaningful cuts, when there's enough energy and space to recover and know why you want to cut certain parts. (Will be popcorn bud at most, doesn't allow light to reach bud sites, unhealthy, ...)

Heelo guys, here were back with Eleanor and her beauty:)

As GrowVital wrote, its pretty hard to find out for begginer what is the right way of strategical defoliation. I am not sure if i made my best, but i am pretty sure i didnt do anything wrong because flowering in last week made a hugre progress, what u think guys? btw Eleanor is drinking 4 l full of nutriens and double portion of flower booster every 2nd day and she likes it :)

Hi guys, am back :p

Here is new photo report, i made photos few days ago, after 2nd defoliation, but i was kinda busy, so here they are. At these photos, Eleanor is 64 days old and its day 39 since pre-flowers showed up. I cannot say if is she flowering fast or slow because of lack experience. Anyway i have to say, she smells incredible good and strong. As i made defo, which takes ca 30 minutes i got incredible headache from this strong smell :) I think she need at least 4-5 weeks before flushing, any opinion?

Happy heads :D
