Something eating top leaves only

I have a pest in my outdoor grow that is eating the top leaves of my tallest plants only. the table my pots sit on is about 4 feet high so i know it is not the dogs and the cats stay indoors. I have searched the forum and cant find anything about just the top leaves being eaten but not on any of of my small plants....just the tallest. the damage must be happening during the day because one of the plants i bring in every night since i have it on a 12/12 schedule.

Please help.

I am so bummed right now. I have been stalking my plants today....having been outside 5 times now since 7 am....its only 948am....but i just killed a wheel bug nymph. It looked scary so i sprayed it with my rosemary dawn mix and killed it then came inside to find out what it was....it was a beneficial spider that hunts and kills the bugs that are attacking my plants....i needed him....i hope he has some brothers or sisters nearby that come on up on my table and do its thing....i promise to leave ur siblings alone.
