Stained or root rot? DWC

Not sure if it's my nutrients or beggining stage of root rot.
These are the nutes I use

Reservoir temps? If it's above I think like 72f, you're at risk of root rot. Above that temp only increases chance so at 80plus it'H inevitable. Hydro guard will fix that. I run 80 to 84f nute temps, thanks to HG

water temps were reading around 78 but then recently ducted the ac in so its sitting at 68 right now

Weird they were that dark though. I really expected slimy roots haha. Good to know its just nute stain. I gotta remember others nutes are different colors than mine haha

Yep I get the same with an and I started using another line and same color as you sometime I wonder if I'm doing something wrong cause all the bright white root photos I se on here

I had the same exact problem. I used hydro guard and a 5ml hydrogen peroxide.. vented my light hood to lower the temps of the garden .... and now all white roots and vigorously growing

Doesn’t the peroxide kill all of the beneficial bacteria in Hydroguard?

I stuck a heat sync into the side of my 5gal bucket. Saps the heat from the water similar to a cpu heat fan. My water never gets above 65 degrees. If i keep my room temp below 78f, the heat sync can handle about a -12 than ambient room temp. Pm who ever wants the deets on how i did this and which model i use ;)

If I'm doing a DWC grow, I don't want any bacteria in the reservoir. Nothing alive in there except for one plant. Lots and lots of dissolved oxygen (boosted with 15ml per gallon of 3% H2O2 per day, which helps keep the nasties away and then decomposes into O2 and H2O) - and never a root zone issue, even if/when the temperature hits "Summer."

And no "organic" nutrients/supplements in my reservoir, either. Because I'm feeding a plant, not a microherd.
