Standard tube lighting?

is this a stupid question??? But would standard tube lighting be okay to grow? Im thinking of buying special tubes....but would bog standard suffice??

if they're flouro's yeah.

make sure they've got alot of lumens,

it'll work for vegging and flowering, but they don't produce the.. optimal spectrum of light for flowering, and you'll want a HID light such as an HPS which has a more orange-red spectrum.
