Tonight I pulled each of them out of the tent and topped off each bucket with perlite. I guess there was some settling after a few days of irrigation.
1667796337859.png

Tonight I also changed out the reservoir and started the GH Flora Series Light Feeding Schedule. So I guess I'm officially in vegetation and this grow is in flight. As promised, here is the updated strain information from Herbies Seeds...
Northern Lights by Pyramid Seeds is a photosynthesis variety of the world-famous, ancient phenotype, which is a rare gem nowadays. Boasting a compact structure, 55 days of flowering and bountiful crops, this 90% Indica strain is simply beyond competition.

Northern Lights by Pyramid Seeds - Excellence in Every Sense of The Word

Northern Lights is one of the most famous strains of all time loved by all members of the cannabis community, including the young guns and veteran users alike. Due to the small stature, the plant is ideal for balconies and small grow rooms. If cultivated indoors, Northern Lights will produce over 500 g/m2 with a superfast flowering period of 55 days. Outdoors, the strain can bring even more: 500-1000g of buds per plant with the THC content around 19%.

I decided to adjust the lighting in case that's my issue here. I turned off the giixers and hung the mars hydro up top. I also put a smaller light I got from Menard's a while back quite a bit lower. Only 1 of my light meters is working but I dropped it down from 26k to 5700 lux measured at NL2 in the center of the tent. They'll also go to 18-6 schedule starting 11pm CT.
1667968499849.png

You can also see I moved the irrigation lines closer to the plants in case it's a lack of nutes. I measured the ladies as well.

Another couple of changes...dropped the temp in the tent 3-4F and raised the temp of the reservoir to 67-71F.

First, I messed up the program for the lights, so Tuesday night the girls only got about 3 hours sleep. But I fixed that last night and they are now on their 18-6 routine. However, none of the other changes appeared to have an effect. I really suspected I was either over or under watering. So last night I stopped feeding them. Today they look much perkier, so tomorrow I'll cut back the feedings to 2 / day for 20 minutes. I also moved the big oscillating fan to the bottom of the tent in front and put a smaller oscillating fan on the shelf in the back corner.

Do hydro plants usually get fed early? In soil I wait for the second set of true leaves and then start them on 25% dose of full strength veg nutes.
I built my system based on this post by @PGA Caddie which led me to this guide by @heyena Merica. Following that guide I've always gone from seedling tray to DWC to promote root growth before going into the perlite. In the DWC I would use 1/4 strength nutrient solution.

I went back through my first journal which had a similar start to this. It looks like at this stage I was feeding very little so I'll scale the feeding back.

If only I hadn't broken my bubbler :(

New growth on most is looking better, but the PQs aren't happy yet.
Thanks shed...PQ1 has actually responded quite well... probably the pick of the litter... although NL3 is giving her a run for the 💰
I was going to post pics from the tent cams but the lights are already out tonight. I'll snap some tomorrow with the phone.

Weekly Update:

It was a rocky start...but I think these girls are liking their permanent homes. Now I just need to not screw things up :reading420magazine:
I did a reservoir change Tuesday of last week and I probably won't do another until this weekend.

Today I installed the 6" -> 4" duct splitter, moved the 6" charcoal filter out of the main tent and ran 4" intake ducts to each tent. That pretty much rounds out the changes to the tents. I also did a reservoir change today. Flushed the feed lines w/ bleach disinfectant. I didn't get any pics or take any measurements, but I created a new report.
