Spilled the bottle of pH Down in the reservoir last night :lot-o-toke: Guess I'll be changing it out again today. I did get pics last night, but not sure how to measure height now that I've started training :hmmmm:

My runts are starting to fill out...wondering if any of them will get over 2" 🤔

Still trying to figure out why they're runts to begin with given all the analysis going on here!

Wait, you run hydro, poured in too much pH Down in, and waited to change it out? I've never run DWC but that seems dangerous!
Yeah... I'm not DWC...I only feed 3 times x day. The Dutch buckets give me a buffer to address reservoir issues. I can always skip a feed cycle or 2. Since there's about 1 gallon of feed in the bottom of each bucket I can survive a few days without running a feed cycle.

That's the difference between information and knowledge 😉

Time for the weekly report. I feel like I've hit my stride and the ladies have too :)

Queen 2 is so happy she's your plant and not mine
I've got the space in the tent and she really doesn't take any additional effort, so, I figure I'll let grow and see what she does. If she produces an ounce of buds I'll be happy.

So we're experiencing some turbulence here...

Some of those little hair-like look like some kind of silk / webbing. I don't see any evidence of critters on this lady though. And there is some odd coloring on a couple of leaves.

The owner of the local hydro shop recommended Mammoth. He said to spray the plants before lights out or the oil can burn the leaves.

1670555485976.png

I also have food grade diatomaceous earth. I'll spray the girls tonight and this weekend I'll put the DE down under the floor liner. Before I started this grow I put down foam insulation and a sheet of 1/2" plywood inside the tent to r:(aise the buckets enough so the return pipe lines up with the vent on the side of the tent. Maybe that's how they got in. Maybe they hitched a ride on my clothes.

Not getting bugs was one of the benefits I was hoping to get from a soil-less environment :(

1670812127581.png

I decided not to add any H2O2 today...I'll wait a couple of days and add it later in the week. Hopefully the Mammoth treatment does the job and the rest of the grow is uneventful. I had to re-calibrate the pH meter again and the TDS meter is currently out of whack. Hopefully I can re-calibrate it in a couple days too.

I found some python code on the interwebs for reading my Govee temp/humidity sensor and I'm hoping to convert it to a custom input for the Mycodo environment control system.

I'm also wondering if I'm over doing it with the lights. I currently only have 2 lux sensors...one in the center by NL2 and one all the way in the back by NL1. Perhaps the light intensity is what's making the plants so short and bushy?

Not much vertical growth, but they are getting crazy bushy. Tonight I re-arranged the lights and dropped down to using just 2 of them. I'm hoping it was just too much light and now they'll start to stretch so I can train them more. Speaking of training...NL2 was the only plant I had topped before topping PQ2 tonight. When I tried to pull down NL2's top 2 nodes they broke off :(

I also removed some fan leaves to get more light to the lower growth. Onto the roundup...
