starting the flowering process?

when i start flowering my 2 plants that i have ready ...how long should i black um out to start 12.. 24.. or 36? its an indica strain im not sure if that matters just looking for some advice and info i guess

I have read 12 or 24, but personally just switch the light , in nature they dont get 24 hours before they start flowering it is a gradual reduction in daylight hours, Just my $0.02 peace OG

I just flip my lights as well, no dark period..
