so today i had an appointment with an arthritis specialist, i am 21 with chronic knee pain caused from severe osteoarthritis, the medical world has prescribed me every pain killer under the sun, even the pill form of cannabis, i can get the pills but not the plant. Anyways so i saw this doctor this morning and brought in the forms and everything hoping he might finally sign on for me, you know what he said to me.

He said that cannabis has no place in the medical world other then for cancer patients, and that it would cause physical dependence and i would become an addict. And then after suggesting that he suggested i go and see a clinical psychologist to take care of my pain, and prescribed me a big fat bottle of percocet.

Great i get narcotics when i am trying for a less harmful method of pain relief. So now back to square one finding a doctor, does anybody know any in the niagara region or toronto area, that are pro pot, and deal with chronic pain patients or arthritis, or orthopeadic.

Please Help

sorry, i don't know of anyone off hand. i am in the same boat as you are, but i am in northern ontario sudbury area. if you find anyone please let me know

Thats terrible. I would begin to research your laws, I know here in CO you can just provide an affirmative defense and you'll be fine. Meaning if you can prove that you're using MMJ for health reasons and are following all the state laws, you're as good as golden.

ya the law here in canada is plan stupid to put it nicely... doctors have been tod by their insurance company not to prescribe it, as if they do then they will up their costs... they are doing everything they can to make it hard to get the exemption

So i found a doctor actually just my family practitioner, presented her with a medical study and the forms and she is going to sign them so needless to say i am pretty stoked
