The state of Minnesota is seeking two certified manufacturers to produce cannabis as part of its new medical marijuana program, and it's not having trouble drumming up interest. The state will host a meeting for would-be cannabis makers Friday. It had to expand the size of the meeting venue to accommodate greater-than-expected demand, City Pages reports. The health department said 220 people signed up to attend. The meeting will now be held at the Minnesota History Center's 3M Auditorium, 345 W. Kellogg Boulevard. State officials will present rules of the program and answer questions. Last month, the Minnesota Department of Health hired Michelle Larson to lead the state's new Office of Medical Cannabis.
