  • Strain is unknown bagseed
  • Soil ( local bought mix specified for Cannabis, includes Perlite, Coco Powder, Vermiculite) soil States it is pre-fertilized with a pH between 5.6-6.5 (whatever that means lol)
  • Lights are Philzon from Amazon 1 600watt (actual 108) 1 1200watt (actual 228), I keep them usually 40 cm or more above.
  • 19 plants all together, 7 switched to flower last night and are 6 weeks old, 6 are in veg and are around 35 days old, 6 more germinated seeds yesterday that have not sprouted yet.
  • Growing indoors in a small bedroom for personal use only.
  • Pots: Started in solo cup and transplanted 3 times. Finishing pots are only 3 gallons (smart pots) which all but the unsprouted seedlings are already in
  • Care: I have chosen a combination of lst, topped one, and let some do their own thing so I could see which way I prefer.
  • Fans, I have two giant one in the room one standing oscillating and two small other ones for a total of 5 fans. Plus a small dehumidifier on the way.
  • Temps: Average temps are between 73 and 78 F.
  • Humidity is good during lights on at around 44% but at night raises to 63% which will not be good for the flowering I just started of the 7 plants that are 6 weeks old.
  • Pests, not that I've seen of really, in the beginning there was one clear but in the soil i killed and haven't seen anymore.
  • My pH goes a little low sometimes at 5.7 on the flowering 7, the 35 day old plants have a 6.4 pH.
  • Ppm always varies with each plant, ranging from 400-1000
  • Nutrients: Using advanced nutrients micro, grow bloom, and advanced nutrients cal mag, and big bloom will be using into week 2 of flowering plants, the plants have only had nutrients and Cal-Mag twice because they get burned Everytime I use them even at 1/4 the recommended amount. I have not used nutrients in awhile, and according to their ppms I don't think I need to???? But please let me know if I'm wrong, or when I should start using them again.
  • Watering: I water every 2-3 days but monitor each plant separately because they never all seem to want water the same day.
  • Issues: Yellowing leaves at the bottom then turning brown and falling off
First time growing.

Welcome to :420:looking good so far, I noticed u said it’s in a bedroom, do u have a way to block the light when uswitch to flower?
Yes of course. The window is completely blacked out inside the closets is the veg area which is completely blacked out before the flowering plants lights go off, blackout curtin where the door to the room is but I rigged it so light can't get in but fresh air can still get in. I have this room rigged up real nice I'll have to take some pictures in the morning when the lights are back on. I made sure no light by testing it as I worked on the blackout process. I can't see my hand in front of my face lol

Any way u could get a pic of the damaged leaves in normal light?

So this is what the leaves do at the bottom they turn lime green, then start to brown and fall off, when I checked them I found a bunch of dead leaves at the bottom. It does it mostly on the ones that are older. I'm only in day 2 of flower today. But the plants do look healthy overall, stems are nice and strong nice color on the rest of the plants. Working on more pictures of the plants soon, today I need to water them but I've been sticking with regular water because they seem to get burned when I try to use the nutes.

Hey Staynew,

I’m excited you’ve got a journal setup! Now we just need to get some coco growers to join in. I know enough about coco to kill a dozen seedlings. So with that I will sit on the sidelines and make smart assed comments. Does that sound fair enough?

I’m going to ask @Pennywise to stop by, He can grow plants using only cinderblocks and battery acid, no just kidding on that but he can answer anything you’ve got and get it right!

Peace out!

In coco you need to water with a reduced amount of nutrients daily. Ph should be between 5.8-6.2. Never allow coco to dry out, feed it at least once a day.

Sounds good to me! I'm going do some updates today and get some good pics, got a lot of updates to add. Thanks

Coco is pretty simple but is different than soil. It’s actually a passive hydro type medium.
Yea I really like it, the hand watering I have to do for now it quite time consuming, other than that I love it.
I felt so bad for my plants I was trying to raise their pH to soil range when they were already perfect. Im definitely sticking with Coco though
