Stevehman's Advanced LED's Height Test - 720W - Gigabud - Grow 5.0

A little bit of bleaching on that one bud, but I also have a little bit on a bud under the 800w and it is way below the rest. I think it may be a Gigabud thing, although these lights do put out. The one in the pic above is 6 inches lower in the canopy than the tall one a few pics above it. And that big one is showing no signs of bleaching. I'll have to see if the bleached one is directly below a certain LED.

Things are getting very frosty in both grows.

I have 2 of the HDFs in there, and 2 more seeds that I can pop if one of these isn't a female. I may keep the male though to do some crossing with others. It's supposed to be a big yielder, I also have a Dutch Passion Ultimate in there, which they call a "recession busting strain".

The Ultimate can get crazy huge. Finish in 8-10 weeks. Definitely keep the HDF never know the kind of gems you'll find from the breeding program. Got 2 of the HDF confirmed female! Good luck with yours, sending some extra X chromosome your way.

Day 37 in 12/12:

All the numbers are the same, no big surprises on that front. Almost boring how it goes along without any drama.

We're on day 37, I think the 17th will be chop day on these girls (maybe earlier). THey are getting all fat and happy and frosty.

Need to get them finished up and get the next test underway.

Got a few burnt tips, I need to back the PPMs to about 1100, they were up to about 1350 over the weekend, I wasn't able to keep an eye on the top-off res and the nutes got a little concentrated in the main res.

Need to hook up my R/O to the system to make it that much more automated.

13 days to chop and counting.

Looks sharp Stevehman.

After backing off the ppm, will the tips come back? If so, what do you think would be avg time to notice recovery?

**just kinda wondering because I read about cures & fixes to issues but rarely see what the time expectation is on recovery.

Dead tips don't re-animate, but you can put a stop to the bleeding.
At this point, flowers with trichomes is the hot ticket, and leaves are SRO.

The stretch is a lot more exciting than the swell.

Propa, if you would, stop in on my journal. My question is about my bad mag def plant. will those leaves recover or should they be clipped? I have updated my fixes from today.

Thanks

I wasn't able to get the microscope pics on Friday, I was rushed to get out of town, I had a five hour drive up to the mountains to do some camping. I'll get the scope out and some trich-porn up today.

One of the settings I enjoy most for a recreational stone is the outdoors, there is just something about the trees, especially with a campfire and the moon better than half full this weekend.

Day 43 in 12/12:

Got in late last night from a weekend get-away. I haven't checked the pH, PPM etc.. since Friday. I will do a partial res change tomorrow for the last 10~14 days before harvest. Half-strength nutes, with the CES Sugaree in there to see how it finishes them off.

I took a few picks of the trichomes to see how they're progressing. Mostly cloudy a few amber. I think they'll be ready mid next week.

And a shot of the buds. Lost count of how many tops there are in there, but it's a lot.

Looking forward to wrapping this grow up and getting on to the next one. I may be doing a mix-bag in this system and similar in the tent. I'll know for sure at the end of this week once the moms are ready to give up some clones.

Looking good Steve. I am excited to hear the height results. I think I've actually been running mine a bit too high I think trying to get stretch and actually too high! I just dropped mine 3", hopefully notice the difference shortly.

I use one of those hanging net dryers to dry them. I trim them real close to the buds and let them dry until the stem snaps. I then put them into 1/2 gal jars with a hygrometer to measure RH. Burp them a few times a day and stir them up a little to make sure they're all drying evenly. Once the RH in the jar hits 60~62% I let them go with a burping once a day for about a week and then every other day, then once a week. After about 30 days they will smell totally different than they did on day 1.

I'll show the process when I chop. I am also going to be building a dryer box with odor control, I don't know if I will have time to finish it before the chop though.
