thank you. i guess it doesnt matter. as long as you go 12/12 when flowering.
you could save some power and let the plant cool a bit, when doing 16/8.

i think im to late but make them both mothers then make a few clones on ech an let rots start then put on 1212 so thay show sex then if girls veg to size ten bud clones a keep the mother for a stedy spuly of clones

I read a tip here I'm going to try this time around. During the veg state you can put a small black plactic bag over one of the branches on a 12/12 cycle to force sexing on that ONE branch. I thought this was a very cool way to sex a plant without having to sex the entire plant. Saves a lot of time waiting to find out your keepers, not to mention taking a chance on a horny male deflowering your ladies. Hope this helps.

Make sure the black plastic bag is actually light-tight. With almost every trash bag being made out of recycled products and as cheaply as possible this can be a chore.

Home-improvement type stores sell contractor's bags but they're LARGE - you could stuff a body into one. Of course you could then drag it outside, down the steps, and out to the curb on trash day without putting a single hole in it lol.

Maybe cover whatever you use in white to fight heat-absorption.

And remember that the branch isn't likely to be able to "breathe" through the plastic but will still transpire so it could get a little humid in there.

It works, but so does taking cuttings from the plants and forcing them if you have separate areas set up.

Have in the past just flowered everything and then switched back although rarely I encountered one that wanted to keep on flowering.

are you sure that only covering one branch will just send that single branch into flowering?

i always thought that the whole plants goes into flowering when it senses it is in 12/12.
correct me if im wrong:)

You are officially corrected.:ganjamon:

Seriously, people have been doing that for years - mostly outdoors. Back in the day it was "brown paper sacks" although they were just called "bags" at the time lol.

If you've ever grown outdoors and had the misfortune to not consider plant placement vs. light from streetlights (etc.) and had one part of the plant get enough light to halt or at least delay flowering while the rest of the plant got a proper dark period (rare, but it happens) then you would have experienced the same phenomenon only in reverse.
