Hi all,
after one year break I want to start another balcony grow. I don't have many experiences with different strains. During previous grows I chose mostly recent Cannabis Cup (CC) winners, mostly from Barny's Farm. I heard a lot of rumors that CC is not what it used to be and it is more about advertisement and bussines. So I decided that this year I want to focus more to classics, well accepted and worldwide recognized strains. I need to select 5 strains for balcony grow (this is half-legal limit in my country).
I already grew following strains:
Barney's Farm - Vanilla Kush (VK), Tangerine Dream, Liberty Haze, Acapulco Gold, Super Lemon Haze (SLH) from GHS, Auto Polar Lights#5
All plants were nice, 1.5m tall, specially SLH was literally covered with crystals. Regarding smoke test, the most favorite strain of mine is VK followed with SLH and Liberty Haze. The rest is ok, but nothing particularly interested. I regret that I didn't choose more different seed banks and more Indica dominant plants, as VK gives me the most favorable high.
There is my list which I need to sort out:
The most probable candidates:
Blueberry - Dutch Passion - 80% Indica, 20% Sativa
AK 47 - Serious Seeds - mostly Sativa, F1 hybrid
Very hot candidates:
White Widow - Dutch Passion - 75% Indica, 25% Sativa
Kosher Kush - DNA Genetics - ?? Indica
Kali Mist - Serious Seeds - pure Sativa, F1 hybrid
Chocolope - DNA Genetics - 95% Sativa, 5% Indica
Sour Diesel - DNA Genetics - 60% Indica, 40% Sativa, '91 Chemdawg x Mass Super Skunk/NL) x DNL - I'm not sure about seed bank there.
Probably Not:
White Rhino - GHS - 90% Indica, 10 % Sativa - Already have WW, too similar.
Strawberry Sour Diesel - DHS
Purple Wreck - DNA Genetics - 60% Indica, 40% Sativa, Purple Urkel x Train Wreck (T4).
Jack Herrer - Sensi Seed - 55% Indica, 45% Sativa
Excluded:
Purple Urkel - no commercial seeds,
Granddaddy Purple - no feminized seeds
CannaSutra - no feminized seeds
What do you think? Did I missed anything you think is "can't live without it" strain? I want only feminized commercially available seeds (EU region) and I don't want to have too similar strains, like I prefer White Widow over White Rhino. For this list I also selected strains which have, according various reports, aphrodisiac qualities which me and my wife know how to appreciate
