Hey bro! You can get a nice little indoor outdoor hygrometer/thermometer for around 25 with shipping. Also, for a small hygrometer look into this little digital one for your mason jars for curing time -
im pretty sure this is the one Irishboy swears by, haven't used it myself but he pretty much relies on it, says its perfect!
but if you want to spend a little money there is this one - Electronix pretty accurate

cool cause ive been lookin for one, so thanks... Another thing im really lookin into is a carbine fan for odor control, if u guys got some good suggestions on a good one let me know, because they are gettin bigger and i know they are gonna start stickin baddd, so yea let me know. thanks again for the info...and for riding along with me. thanks

do you have any experience with one?? and if so how do they work??? does it really take the smell away.. Because thats my number 1 main objective right now, is to be able to get rid of the smell when they get bigger, because like i said if its really gonna smell im not gonna be able to grow, or not as much maybe just one plant at a time and thats fun and all but who really wants to sit around and mess with one plant at a time.... so yea i need somebody with some experience on this one to help me out.... anybody??

I have not had to use anything yet. So far have been able to keep the smell contained, probably because of the strains. Some strains smell more than others. On one of the seed sites it has plants listed by smell catagory. Some peeps cant alter the grow space. Wish I could help. I think they have a thread on odor control.

Suka, there are much better growers here than I, so I'll leave most of the growing advice to them, but a couple of safety tips:
It looks like the back of your cab where the power strips are hanging is cardboard (maybe I'm mistaken?). If so, I would cover the cardboard with something non-flammable to prevent a fire hazard.
Also, I would use a zip tie or something to attach the Y-Adapters on the lights to the power strips. As is, they could become unplugged and fall from the weight of the bulb/adapters and if the bulb breaks, those CFLs have mercury and are a real pain to get cleaned up. Plus, I'd be real wary of smoking herb that may have mercury!
I do have that exact fan you're looking at with the carbon scrubber. I haven't used the scrubber yet, but the fan should be more than enough to vent that cabinet.

thanks for all the help.. yes the peice in the back is cardboard but i have i covered with mylar, plus the bulbs that i have in there dont even get hot, and with the zip tie idea i never thought about that but i wouldn't be able to fit a tie between the board and the power strip because i have it on there so tight plus the adapters are plugged in tight to where they dont even move so i dont really have anything to worry about that.. but i appreciate all the info and u joinin in on my grow.... stick around...

so i just got done watering all my plants with nutes, and i was takin a look and i see a female pistil comin out clear as day, so it looks like bkjr is a female. I also hope jizzle is a female because its growin so good, being lst'ed. But like i said a few posts back that i have 6 in there veggin rite now and i hope that i atleast get 3 females out of them. i dont know,,,, another thing am i able to use the same bulbs that im using to veg with to flower them with??? or what would be the best ones to use???let me know what u guys think..thanks again for joinin in...

So last night i watered the plants with the Neptunes Harvest nutes and they are sticking straight up reachin for the light...I dont know if anybody has ever used this stuff but damn if it dont do a excellent job...Now what about my question about the lights, am i able to use the same lights that im veggin with to flower with??? or do i have to use a different light?? Let me know because my bk is shower her female side more and more every morning so somebody please let me know about that....Thanks.

Suka,
You want to veg under cooler (blue spectrum) and flower under warmer (red spectrum) CFL's. So, use 6500K's for veg and 2700K's for flower.

Yes...lower spectrum....would be better for flower than veg

It would be BETTER to veg under 6500K lights. However, you can veg under 3500k light also. If your budget is very tight, I would not go out to buy more lights. The only thing is that 3500k light is more into the green spectrum (which MJ plants cannot use) so you're wasting quite a bit of light. But they will work fine, don't worry. If you have the money, 6500K light would be better.
