Supplemental lighting question

First of all I'm new to this so please contain your laughter.
Can I use an led lamp and T5 lamp in the same closet? Thinking an led in center and two T5's on the edges.

Sure. You can mix whatever lighting you like. T5 side lighting is a great idea. Will you run them vertically?

I'm not sure yet, I'm still building my closet out in my garage (3x3x7') and plan on doing just 1-2 plants at a time. I don't want to skimp on lighting but I do have to stay within my budget.
