Clear Choice Cannabis, a new recreational marijuana retailer, will be holding their grand opening this Friday at 10 a.m. at their retail location in South Tacoma. This will be Tacoma's second recreational marijuana retailer. The first, Rainier on Pine, opened on Aug. 1. Clear Choice's owner, Adam Schmidt, said he's put a lot of time into the new store to create an inviting atmosphere. Schmidt and his friends handcrafted a lot of the details in the store. "We have a very large space and we've put a lot of hard work into it," Schmidt said. "The majority of our stuff is custom made."
Security is important part of the store's operations, he said. Schmidt added in a news release that the store's 24/7 security shows their dedication to their customers. Clear Choice Cannabis – located at 8001 South Hosmer Street in Tacoma – will also be selling their own custom-made glassware brand Clear Choice Glass. "I have a passion for glass and we are trying to take it to the next level," Schmidt said. The pieces are designed by local artists. As more I-502 stores come online in the state, Schmidt emphasized the attention to detail and simplicity that he hopes will help his store standout. "We want to provide good service and quality for as long as possible," Schmidt said.
