A Texas couple was in a Louisiana jail Thursday after a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of more than 30 pounds of marijuana in their car.

According to a Louisiana state police news release, the couple’s car was stopped Tuesday night for a routine traffic violation on Interstate 10.

Troopers received permission to search the vehicle and found the marijuana, which authorities say is worth about $128,000.

Dinh Tri Do, 31, of Fort Worth and Kristine Thi Nguyen, 35, of Arlington were arrested.

They were taken to the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail.

They’re charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana.

Do also faces a charge of improper lane usage.

"Improper Lane Usage"

I think we all know what that means... it's the catch-all your-getting-fucked-now in cop lingo, right?

I once got stopped because a 'civilian volunteer' reported that I had 'failed to stay within my own lane'. Ya, right.
