THC Bomb Auto - Berry Bomb Auto - Quarter Pounder Auto

Girls spent first night in greenhouse, seem fine, they are in need of transplanting, wich won't really be a transplant since I started in rock wool cubes, started construction on containers, was gonna do 5 gallon buckets, but I didn't care for any of the drain kits made for round buckets, best option I found $5 7 gallon trash bins, $3.50 for drain. Screen 2 for .80

Looks good, AKRoughneck! I use the same stuff: waste baskets and bins. Only I don't have hose fittings on my hempy hole, because I only use just enough water to trickle out the holes. Then I use a turkey baster to suck most of the water out of the catch bin

But then, I have nothing better to do with my life! :laughtwo:

So I got tired of reconstituting coco and did #5 in pure perlite, the others are in a 66% coco 33% perlite mix, idk what the last percent is :D,all of them have pure perlite above the drain, and the drain is high enough for a little bit of a reservoir like a hempy, #6s replacement has just popped out of rock wool and should be out here In a week or less, I watered with about 4-5 gallons of 5.7/5.8 .75ml a gal of the rapid start flora grow and cal mag+ until they all eventually gave me some run off, the drains are for a future automated watering system cause like I said this shit is starting to become a chore :) I think I waited too long for some, some had nice white roots and some the roots poking out were starting to turn black and brown

Very nice, this should work well AK! I am interested to see the difference in growth between the pure perlite bucket compared to the ones with coco. Good job! Also, those roots that turned brown were likely ones that were getting hit by light possibly, or maybe sitting in a wet spot with no air getting to them. Hope they come back around and grow some new ones quick :)

These things are loving it out here and in the new pots, seems like they are growing every day now

Compared to plants that have been under good light their entire life they are small, hopefully some good real sun turns them around

:thumb: OH Yeah! They'll def. take off running now! Something special about the daylength dropping downhill from 22 hours and a good season of rain. I was always able to grow good vegetables in your area this time of year!

Watch out, those auto Mazars will start off slow but when they take off you are going to wish they had been topped or had some serious LST. They can become monsters.

They don't have enough 3rd node to top yet, not sure if I will or not

Check out Thebeast's Auto Mazar right before harvest. He topped it at the 4th node and wished he had topped it again because he had to super crop her several times in order to keep her from hitting his lights. He still managed to pull 7 oz from her. This link should take you directly to his final pictures of that lady, but the whole thread is worth reading through for anyone wanting to see more about topping autos.
Auto Topping LED Grow

You will get your chance to top them within the week in sure. I have seen thebeasts mazar and hemisync is right, you really should top those mazars once for sure and then do some major lst to them. I have seen a couple others that have started to grow out of control a little. The auto's I have also noticed seem to start of a little slow in the hempy buckets, mine did too. But right around week 4-5 I bet they are gonna grow so fast you wont be sure what to do with them haha. You wait and see :)

Also, remember that you are waiting for the roots to hit the bottom of the buckets, that is how the hempy bucket works. Once them roots hit the reservoirs you should really see some explosive growth. Letting the top layer of medium get dry is also a good thing, this will promote root growth and they will go searching for water.

Sun hasn't been around much, but the lil girlies seem ok, I been slacking on them and only feeding once, and the biggest Mazar gets a tiny bit droopy, so I'll be back at 2 feedings per day, 1ml/gal fng cmp rs 5.8 ph, one feeding around the area of the rock wool and one directly on it, 1 gallon is enough to get run off from the 5

Quarter pounder 2/2 algae is spreading around perlite, I'll probably end up doing Mazar 3/3 in pure perlite and use the last of my coco for a top lair on it and this one to handle the algae

I think the qp in perlite is younger then the one in coco and she looks like she's catching up and trying to pass her sister up, maybe it's beneficial algae :)

They are all such pretty little girls. This is the stage were I have to be so careful not to overwater. Yes, it's true I belong to OA, overwaterers anonymous.

This is the youngest plant, it's using up the first little leaves, all the other plants are still healthy looking, is the little girl trying to tell me something?

Sometimes these ones can go real quickly and sometimes they will last most of the life of the plant. Keep a close eye on that first set of true leaves and you will know for sure then if it is telling you something. Could be lack of nitrogen if it does progress. Good eye though, you are on the ball. :thumb:
