That's not a bad still. It's available in two configurations, both from the same manufacturer, only one of which is suitable. Make sure you get the one with the alcohol resistant seals. The other is only good for water.

Found that one on eBay for $99 bucks. And it was the alcohol still. Have been researching oil production. Lol doing my homework before I attempt to make. It's my health at stake. Want to do it right the first time and every time after.

over fda regulated, pharmaceutical companies
so here r some recent discoveries/observations
thc solubility in Ethanol, is one thing
for those of us, who use ethanol
remember
it's more than thc we r dissolving!
i had to use 151 everclear
due to current circumstances
as well as ethanol, denatured with heptane
thought i had ruined an oil batch
that was discolored and separated
got bored
stilled the 60ish mg in syringes
that looked like light brown n typical oil cow pattern, whereas the goods, r uniform; always
took it up to 240°F... just under the first cannabinoid
and while it's still discolored from the eclear
it was the highest I'd ever been
so i took a finished, top notch batch, to 240, from the Ethanol heptain combo and it was the newest- strongest stuff i have ever made. there's no pain i cannot dismantle, with these multiple strain, cocktails... at 16.5 cents per day, in decigrams vs rso's clinic, $60 a day diet, similar to oxycontin... y people don't bother to try, is beyond my comprehension... if for nothing else, than to disprove. worst that happens- u have a batch of cannabis oil, with negligible cost diffs.

I dont suppose you happen to have the info for how much is soluble in 95 or 96% ethanol do you?

How would I know when i'd reached the saturation point?
It was just something I found on the net somewhere. I’ve also read claims that pure thc will dissolve in alcohol at a 1:1 ratio. So -one gram of thc could dissolve in one ml of alcohol. Again just ‘something I read somewhere’.
What are you dissolving? When it’s saturated it will stop dissolving. Also the level will rise. If you dissolve half a cup of salt in a litre of water you’ll still have a litre. The level won’t start rising until it’s reached saturation and the salt starts piling up on the bottom.
Obviously though if whatever you are adding to the alcohol is only partially soluble, and has some insoluble material in with it, it will be harder to tell what’s going on.
