The Joy Of Growing - SweetSue Goes Perpetual

I lived north of LV about two hours for a quarter of a century. I worked in St George a lot. So, about twice a week I would drive down through 'The Gorge' to Misquite (first town in NV). It is a great drive and only about 30 minutes. I would play black Jack until I lost a bit or was up enough to buy a nice steak dinner. If I was down I would head for the buffet. On a good night, after the steak I would hit the tables again.

A side story to about gambling in Misquite. In the late 80's it was a truck stop and a dairy. The casino had a fifty dollar limit and the men's room had a horizontal urinal that would accommodate 3 or 4 at a time with a pipe with holes across that ran water all the time. Sratched in the wall was a note that read "Will Jimmy Hoffa please call home".

lol..this is an experience I can say, without reservation, I am glad I will never have.

My Mom likes to go to Vegas. She doesnt gamble much though. She likes the shows mostly. Vegas isnt missing anything when she doesnt gamble.. she takes like 40 bucks and thats all, and plays until its gone, win or lose, and then shes all done. LOL

Oh, and I may as well give my 2 cents on Oregon, too, since its my birth state. lol Gorgeous, beautiful, lovely temps. Its smells divine after a rain, no matter how often it rains. So clean. Love it.

Our 19th century family farm in Oregon is a small dairy farm. Most of the farm smells clean and earthy, but it's not what I would call divine :)

Well, Ive not been on a dairy farm in Oregon. LOL But I have been in the woods after a rain.. and it does smell divine.

Merry Christmas Reg. :circle-of-love:

Fire one up for me and I'll let the virtual contact high supplement this fascinating natural high my body is producing. Today I even had the sense of gliding when I walked. Unbelievable that my brain could pull this off. No complaints from here though. :laughtwo:

Just one of many that will come and wish you a merry Christmas. Have a great cookie and non space brownie day.

"How are my brownies Sue?"
"They are good but somethings missing...."

Merry Christmas ShiggtyFlip. :battingeyelashes:   She didn't even make brownies. LOL! Probably for the best, since that might've made me miss them more. :laughtwo:

Thank you glimmer. Yes they are. :laughtwo:

My thanks to all of you who stopped to leave me wishes. I've been so busy with my friend's family that time is severely limited and I haven't had much time to visit your journals. You are all so dear to my heart. Have the merriest of days, filled with joy and an abundance of love. :circle-of-love:
