What a hobby, I get to make my own medicine and get better quality than I can get in a legal dispensary. At 70 years of age it is a vary good thing!
What's going on in my 4 x 4!
Day 49 12/12
The 11th was the 7th week of flower. Took the plants out and removed the netting to rearrange the bud and
tuck them back behind the net where needed. My GF after we finished kept talking about how sticky her arms were from reaching into the netting to do the adjustment, and they are very very sticky.
The ladies!
Should have about two weeks to go. They are fattening up and smelling very pleasant.:yummy:

So, these were taken on the 25th day of flower, during minor cleanup, on 12/18. they have been under a 15W CFL since. They were cut and put in water right away. Got one ready to put into the RootRiots cubes by lightly scraping the epidermal layer and splitting the stem to the depth of planting. I then dipped each into rooting gel and inserted the stems into the cubes. Then placed them into the cloner in about an inch of damp coco.
That was 8 days ago and they still look alright but I don't know what to expect. Am I just spinning my wheels, this was off one of the clones that did not make it from the original 5 and it is a nice looking plant so would like to keep it.
Any thoughts, I really can't keep any more clones but from I have seen I expect them to be ok. I have a few clones of the other plants, each was started with seed. With these I can give my buddies in the PTSD group a little cheer. I do not have PTSD but I am a vet and when I met the guys a while back it fucking broke my heart. I also make CO, for these guys and also for anyone I can help that may have cancer or other deadly debilitating diseases.
At some point in this country we will all be able to use cannabis as a medicine and I want it to be free for all. I am not a socialist, LOL
Hope to get some pics tonight for an update, we are looking ok.

Hello all, over 50 novice check-in , I'm currently growing 4 WW fem in a 22 Inch x 8 foot, wanting to apply my first neem oil treatment, looking for opinions on concentration level and application ideas thanks!
I wouldn't use it at all unless I already had an infestation....which growing inside you shouldn't have if you keep it clean and don't cross contaminate from outdoors.

I've had a infestation of fungus gnats for my entire grow. I am sure it has to do with growing in CoCo and watering 3x a day. The only thing I find that work is neem oil. I wouldn't worry about using it as it is rather inert and also used by florists to shine the leaves of house plants.
I mix 1tsp per gallon and then add 1/4 tsp of dish washing soap (Palmolive) The soap acts as an emulsifier to break up the oil. I use a garden sprayer and spray the top of the soil heavy and also usually hit the pots with it also. If I notice some of them flying around I also spray the whole plant. So far I have had no problem with it even when spraying with the lights on.
As with other things - I would recommend doing a test spray on a small area just to make sure it doesn't affect your plants that may be sensitive.

These fungus gnats have my interest. I am hearing about them more and more. I have grown for lots of years and have never had a bug infestation. Knock on wood. I have had other problems and know how hard it is to get rid of them when they arise. Maybe it is where I am growing or what I am growing with. I know the where helps me out some. I haven't noticed any bugs flying around the tent with the miracle grow soil I am using now. I used to get small flys of some kind with the Fox Farm soils I used. I may have had them before with MG and they went unnoticed or ignored like I did with the FF. While I have had lots of grows with a few tiny fly's moving around. There have never been enough to even worry about. These must be the same gnats that people are talking about. I never saw very many at any one time, plus I never noticed them hurt the plants in any way. Is this the same bug multiplied? Or am I less bothered by a few little gnats.

Not sure about that one. This grow season I was growing in CoCo and watering 3x a day. Possibly because of the frequency of watering I had a persistent problem with fungus gnats but kept under control with neem oil.
In my case often when I would spray mostly on the top of the soil I would find hundreds of them in my run off water. I would only occasionally see them flying around but over the grow found lots of them on my sticky yellow traps.
In the past I grew in DWC and soil and never had a problem with the buggers.

So I cloned a flowering plant in it's earliest stage due to the rest not making it in my closet space
Since then I've upgraded clip a flower girl off the lower branches and now it's fully cloned; my question is where should i go from here? The name of the seed is PREMO whatever that is i have look everywhere for the plant; but had zero luck...

Could it have "bean" a Power Plant "Primo" strain?
I would keep her in veg for as long as possible and keep trimming her for clones until she becomes a monster bush, before finally flowering her off.

I love this thread! If someone is asking about gnats, I got rid of mine by using Great White. I just add a few grains after every water change, and it seems to be enough to keep the roots clean and the bugs gone. I learned that somewhere here, LOL, but don't remember exactly where. I'm a hydro, ebb and flo, using gh nutes and hydroton in net pots.

Thanks for the good infoCorn is a great companion crop. pot will thrive with corn. But tomato's should be stayed away from. I grew with both . the corn was great. and hides the pot well. But tomato's will give the pot an acidic taste . Taste like your smoking the tomato plants. At least that's my experience. As for bugs, I use ladybugs. You can have 9000 delivered to you door for 42 dollars . When you buy at a store, you will get dead bugs. Get them delivered and they are all live.

Gnats are going to be a more likely problem when growing with methods that keep the top of the growing medium constantly wet/moist! Change methods or incorporate gnat control methods, topping with a gnat block, spraying pest controls .
Gnats are relatively easy to control, spider mites are more challenging! A healthy, well sourced, organic soil grow will seldom have any pest problems if not under /over watered! Can you find living composting/earthworms in your well draining organic soil pots after a grow? If you can, seldom will you have nutrient or pest problems! Too much of anything can tip the balance towards potential problems. You can get plants on "steroids" with some grow techniques but you also find less room for errors! Of course, sourcing/working good garden compost is a lot of work and city folks may have more difficulty in doing so! I have grown cannabis using several methods successfully, since 1968. If I was to try a new hydro method now, I would look at Sweet Sues Hempy grow thread! They also ,if I remember correctly, mention gnat control products for topping the pots that would work with most any grow method well!

Sourcing good compost means collecting as many sources of organic materials as possible! While the bulk of a good start may be primarily carbonaceous materials like dead leafs or even grain straw, green plant materials, kitchen waste, various manures, soiled barn litter will round out your compost and make it decompose much faster! Turning the pile is essential to working compost into great fertilizer! Do not add nitrogen commercial fertilizers, lime or meat products to your compost!Never include any litter from house pets!!!Rabbit sheep and goat manures are best for me, but horse, cow and poultry, well composted with plant materials ,all will work great! Rabbit and sheep are non burning used lightly to moderately, fresh if the urine is leached out a bit first, when it is present in a fresh source. Composting will utilize all of that urine ,as well and render it non burning. I have used a lady bug that was released for pecan aphids in Georgia a while back that has naturalized across the southern USA, to patrol my indoor gardens,as well as the outside. I have them now living continuously in my grow buildings walls,attic and every crack and cranny available to them! Most will starve to death when hatched indoors by the temps being favorable for them. But they glean every millimeter of plant leaf before they die of egg or larvae of potential infesting insects, as well as adult aphids, if any! I am not sure of a particular affinity plant for growing alongside cannabis, but agree, it grows fine with corn! I have not noticed any problems of it taking on flavors of other adjacent plants. If it were possible to transfer flavor readily between plants, it would be both a blessing and a curse! Some pest will be confused by a foil reflective mulch. Do not plant marigolds close to your cannabis! They are a great host plant for spider mites and will when heavily infested spread them to nearby plants! Any pest marigolds may repel is more than over compensated for, with spider mites! Healthy ,well tended plants are your best defense!
