The Personal Regimen: Our Community Speaks

I got it Shed.

Welcome bowanawana. Let me reformat that and separate our words. That’ll make it easier for everyone.

The Questions

Be as detailed as you can, as wordy as you feel the need. If you use cannabis for recreation only then share that. The questions apply to everyone.

* Why do you personally use cannabis?

I have been using since I was 14, I am going on 60. I use it to relax myself. Over the years I have learned which plants do what for what, so today I have many reasons why, but overall to relax.

* How long have you been using cannabis?

Long Time, 46 years

* List any medications you’ve reduced or discontinued with cannabis use.

aspirin, but I only have to take a ibuprofen when my diverticulosis flairs up, MJ can't reduce the inflammation fast enough. But other than that no other man made drugs. I drink alcohol and have a physical every year.

* If you use cannabis to treat chronic pain, how would you rate the level of relief you’re getting?

Funny drug cannabis, as a tincture I make it relieves pain in 15 min where applied. After surgery it works better than morphine, along with the topical and a cookie.

* What administration method/s work best for you?
indica cookie

* What chemovar/s work for you? What makes them favorites?

* What chemovars don’t work for you? What experience caused you to discard them as an option?

What in the heck is this?

I hope that worked for you.

Forgive me for not making that last point more clear. A chemovar is how I identify “strain.” It’s a quirk I have. There are no “strains” in the world of botany, and it’s one of those small changes we can make to add legitimacy to cannabis.

Substitute the word “strain” for chemovar and the questions make more sense. :battingeyelashes:[/B][/B]

Hazeri.... well done my friend. I’m so glad our work was useful for you.

An impressive list of cannabis choices, and a well thought out dosing plan. :bravo: It’s satisfying to see personal regimens built around the science we play with. :circle-of-love:

Do you grow? Those aren’t readily available in your country, to my knowledge. They’re not all that available in my country. :laughtwo: Candida.... nice! That’s one I have waiting to be grown. Thankfully I’m healthy and strong, and it’s not a priority.

It’s so good to hear from you. Keep healing, and stay in touch.

Untortunately in my country is Cannabis in a bad voice. But letssettle in the housesand we buy the houses and we buy the raw ind hemp that were doing by extracting the drug.
Ind hamers with litle Guawi(10 ml cbd-1 ml Guawi-150 Biobombs),Cindirela,Jack herer give excellent results.
Since then, the law has allowed the cultivation and purchase of industrial Cannabis.

But we growers always strive to make the medicine;):nomo:

For Cannabis, the medicine and family have no limits.:green_heart::green_heart:
Thats my attitude:thumb:

Amen to that! :green_heart:

We’re outliers in our societies - citizens unwilling to be sheep.

High Sue and all. Great thread m’lady. :thanks:

Subbed in now. I had been here - but hadn’t clicked the “watch” button and had totally forgotten about this. I’m enjoying reading slowly through everyone’s daily canna-style :) I’ll be along with my own routines once I’m caught up :Namaste:

I’m still working on my responses to the ‘proforma’ (i have bit gong on so it will take me a while :battingeyelashes:). I just had to respond to this
Sort of a Ferrari with all bolts a little loose... Looks fine, drives like a real bad go kart haha.

I dont throw virtual hugs often... but  for describing that soooo perfectly my zebra brother! Honestly that’s totally it. I have to watch it with sativa profiles these days or the speediness crashes the Ferrari and wheels and nuts and bolts and the contents of the glove compartment go flying everywhere! :Do_O

Others won’t know this but NS and I recently discovered we share the exact same diagnosis and have very, very similar experiences.

Honestly man, Natural Spirit, that’s such a great description.

been my observation that sweats are much more closely tied to the general health of the gut itself
It's been my observation that sweats are much more closely tied to menopause.
:laughtwo:

Giggles aside though, that all indicates that it’s tied to hormones, and hormones travel in the endocrine system which is one of the systems the ECS plays a dominant role in regulating.

I get probs with sweats etc., like NS it can be part of the connective tissue disorder and it’s related conditions, like dysautonomia and mast cell disease. When we were first looking into stuff for me the assumption for years was that it was just early menopause, then when menopause did come, that was given as the reason. I knew there was other things going on tho and when my hormone levels finally got tested my oestrogen was actually off the charts high - which is the opposite to what’s expected. So yes there were hormone issues, but it wasn’t directly “menopause”.

So yeah - problems with temperature regulation and sweats can certainly be a hormone balance problem, quite often adrenal in nature, especially if the person has some form of Dysautonomia.

I’m not claimIng any answers in any of that. Just the observation. It’s not surprising folks are speculating about a connection between the sweats, temperature, water, etc. and something in their canna regime.

I also know many canna-health specialists, including SweetSue, usually say that a higher than normal water intake is necessary when using cannabis therapies.
I also use a tissue salt called Nat-Mur which is amazing for helping the body balance water. :Namaste:

It’s not a quirk! You go girl :high-five:

As Dr Russo says - strains refer to bacteria and the like, not plants. It’s scientifically incorrect. It is however pretty strong ley term in the industry. Dr Sulak MD covers it in his latest webinar, which he made free :yahoo:

And Dr Sulak is collaboration with green flower media a bit these days so it’s going to filter into the common parlance eventually.

:ciao: back soon!

Heya Amy and Thanks for the compliment :cheer: As our condition is worse enough I try to keep Those conversations “light” when People ask me. The car thing really works for guys mostly as that helps them to think the mechanic way Hehe.

Be back here soon, This weekend is the move :slide:

* Why do you personally use cannabis?

My wife use cannabis for insomnia, appetite, pain & anxiety.

I use for insomnia and high anxiety and to help my appetite.

* How long have you been using cannabis?

My wife started using cannabis in 2017 (she is 64). I started with cannabis when I was 14 and used it daily for about 15 years when I stopped. Started up again in 2017. I am 67.

My wife has a GYO license for 15 plants as do I. We have been growing since September, 2017. We try to follow the no-till method as best that we can.

* List any medications you’ve reduced or discontinued with cannabis use.

Discontinued fentanyl, statex has been reduced to almost nothing. In fact that is what my wife is working on now to eliminate. I don’t use any prescribed meds except cannabis.

* If you use cannabis to treat chronic pain, how would you rate the level of relief you’re getting?

We use for the most part, home made cannacaps in size 0 capsules made with dried, decarbed, finely ground Gorilla (which we grow). This is my wife’s mainstay and it helps to keep her pain level at about 4-7 depending on the day. When she was still on fentanyl, her pain level was always 8-10.

* What administration methods have you tried?

Capsules, Oil by syringe, Oil in tea, Vaping (micro-dosing with an Arizer Extreme Q and Storz and Bickel micro-dose capsules)

* What administration method/s work best for you?

Vaping and capsules

* What chemovar/s work for you? What makes them favorites?

Gorilla, Skywalker (indica hybrids) - nice relaxing buzz, helps us sleep

Durga Mata II CDB - appetite stimulant, reduces anxiety

* What chemovars don’t work for you? What experience caused you to discard them as an option?

When I first started growing we had some super silver haze, which was too sativa for us. Won’t grow it again. The crop went for decarb capsules which were not too bad.

* Describe in detail your personal regimen. Walk me through a typical day of cannabis use. I’m hoping for the fine details, when you take your first dose, how much you dose, what you eat before or after a dose, how cannabis use augments fitness and movement, dose cannabinoid values and ratios if you know them.....all of it.

I get up at 7:00 a.m. and at around 10:00 a.m. we vape CBD. At 3:15 p.m., I eat 2 squares of 90% dark chocolate and about 5-6 slices of dehydrated mango. At 4:00 p.m., I take 4 size zero canna caps (these usually take about 3-4 hours to hit me (between 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.). At 5:00 p.m. my wife and I vape some oil (2-3 tokes each with a ccell vape). Currently we are using Skywalker as our pre-dining choice. At around 9:00 p.m., we vape our Gorilla bud (1 micro dose capsule). That’s my routine.
My wife does the following. Gets up at 9:00 a.m. and vapes CBD at 10:00 a.m. Through out the day and evening, she takes the canna caps for a total of 15-20 per day depending how she is feeling. Usually takes 3 at a time. Before supper, she vapes some Skywalker oil (2 tokes). At 7:30 p.m. I give her 3 ml of Indica oil (19.78 mg/ml THC). At 9:00 p.m., she vapes Gorilla bud (shares micro dose capsule with me).

I am including photos of the micro-dosing capsules and how we use them in our vape.

Here’s the info for the micro dose caps. We got ours from amazon here in Canada. The American site should have them. Don‘t pack too tight. Namaste. hedz

I'll go back and answer more later when I have time but, im a daily smoker, from morning until bedtime. Have been a daily consumer since I was 15, 30 now.
I work a full time job as a refrigeration/hvac technician. I drive all day every day to the tune of 2-300 mile many days. I keep a small silicon bowl and about an 1/8th of buds with me every day and smoke a bowl every couple hours in between calls. I have scoliosis and pretty bad back pain for a 30 year old. Also i suffer from pretty bad anxiety and the smoke always helps. Its not something that I like to admit but I am also a recovering alcoholic. And I've found, that any time I find myself craving alcohol, a puff or two, or a dab makes me forget all about it.
