Ton of Pot Seized Over Weekend

Customs and Border Protection seized more than 2,000 pounds of marijuana at the El Paso port of entry this weekend.

The pot was contained in a semi that entered the Bridge of the Americas cargo facility from Mexico.

A drug sniffing dog searched the trailer and alerted inspectors to pot hidden in the floor of the empty trailer.

A Juarez man is under arrest on drug smuggling charges.
