Too bushy? Pruning lower leaves?

Need some input from the pros....

Currently 4 weeks into life for this unknown seed.

FIMed 5 days ago, definitely noticed an improvement in horizontal growth, but it looks like there is still a main center cola growing back? Maybe I misunderstood the result of fimming

Shes working on node #7 and is only about 6 inches tall

Is it too early to prune the lower leaves that are starting to touch the coco?

During the vegetative stage I leave the leaves and just take out the branches I don't want. The leaves convert light energy to plant mass.
