Total Noob: 1st Grow, Train Wreck Autoflower

I would probably start adding a small amount of calmag in with your waterings, keeping the pH about the same or even a little lower. I usually only add 1-2mL for 2 gallons if any, but my water is already calcium rich. Based on your plants size I might also consider starting a light nutrient feeding. I prefer to start 1/4 or 1/2 strength and work up, as to not shock the plants.
Alright, just put a little over 3 gallons of water in a bucket. Put 1ml of CalMag in the water, along with 4ml of each of the Gen Hydroponics Flora Grow Bloom nutes. That equates to about 25% of the recommended dose. I guess I’ll start there and water tomorrow morning.

Also, went ahead and tried some LST. I have a ton of smaller leaves coming in on the bottom, so figured I’d give them some light and a chance to blow up too.

What do you guys think?

So my small plant is going to continue to get bent with some LST for at least another day or two (I gusss?) to continue to spread the light.

My larger plant is going to get just 1 more night/day of LST as it’s getting taller and fuller.

How long do people usually LST for? When does a scrog net or defoliation TYPICALLY begin?

PS enjoy the photo update!

I've seen it elsewhere and personally will be keeping my LST to downs until harvest. Problem with so many awesome contributors with awesome guides is I have a hard time remembering who I've seen what from.

I'll find the LST guide I wish I had from the start of my grow.

Here it is, courtesy of InTheShed. Good guide, you might find you like to do something different and that's cool too. Thousands of ways to succeed.

Thank you so much for digging that up!

I’m definitely getting a little nervous as I’m starting to have more of a problem with this yellowing. I also have some cracks(?) in 1 or 2 of the leaves.

The brown spots could be water spots that dried up and fan helped kill that spot. The 3rd pic looks like early onset of magnesium deficiency. Check pH first. But adding more magnesium should be fine regardless. Cheers!

Is there any benefit to keeping these/cutting them off? That’s the defoliation method of removing leaves near the bottom that don’t receive light anyway right?

Are these 3 I circled able to be removed so the plant doesn’t direct any energy to them?

I just finished Week 4 above soil and on the first day of Week 5 today. They look like they are doing pretty good. Would love some feedback to ensure I can maximize the growth/yield in the last few weeks here!

Nice-looking setup. Don't forget to put a drain pan under all your pots
I forgot to do this the first time that I put fabric pots in my tent and I had water leaking out of my tent all over the floor..lol

Hi Phil. Looking good! They look like they just started flowering so I would guess you have more than a few weeks left.

Have you seen this post from 2015?
I found it really helpful

Hmm. After watching a few YouTube videos from people using general hydroponics micro grow bloom, I’ve been using all 3 nutes. That’s article suggests there are specific nutes for veg and flower?

There are often veg and flower nutes that match the needs of the plant in the different stages (more nitrogen in veg then more phosphate and potassium in bloom).

The post I shared recommends basing the type of feed on what the plant is doing (assuming I read it right).
Maintain nitrogen rich feeds until stretch stops. - it looks like stretch is just about to happen for you - and once upward growth stops you move to more phosphate and potassium to make the buds fatten up.

For wk4 it may be worth transitioning to flora nutes vs jumping straight to them.

In coco it seems (not in all cases) that the base nutes remain the same and the additives change but I’m pretty sure that the base nutes will do the job on their own.

Your plants look great by the way

Hi Phil. Looks to me like the pistils are just starting to show. Keep in mind that most plants take longer than your seed producer will advertise.
No need to apologize for questions, that is why we all come here, to learn and help out when we can.
Ahh like these!
