So I thought I would share something we came up with 10 years ago, simply to clean off anything on the stoker and stop it getting everywhere.
It can be done with numerous items depending on application.
You will need the following(or similar):
1x Sml bottle (300-400ml) or Spice Shaker.
1x Metal Coat hanger or wire.
1/2 cup of rice
Lighter.
Start by throughly cleaning out the container, remove any diffuser on spice shaker.
At this point remove labels with boiling water or skip if you don't care.
Fill the bottle/container up to the top with rice, tapping it down to settle it, put just a tad too much in so the lid makes it pack down tightly. It may take 1-3 turns to make it tight.
Once lid is back on and rice is as tight as possible, cut appropriate length of wire to suit your piece.
Bend a small angle on one end as a handle. Apply heat from lighter on straight tip until very hot.
Peirce a hole in the middle of the lid straight down and let the plastic dry again.
You are done, what proceeds is a cleaning holder for you stoker, it will keep it dry and not leave your hands black. You can open up the hole as needed, just don't go too big the rice comes out.
