It's been a minute since I've been active. So, it's time for another journal for those that would like to follow along. Now, to get started, these babies are in veg and have been for about 2 weeks now. They just got their first defol and I am going with the mainline method, or at least try.

I haven't done much since I transplanted them into the system. I have just given them their second round of nutrients. The first round was at 1/4 strength followed by 1/2 strength for the 2nd round. The nutrients line i am using is supernatural bloom aqua and that will be used from start to finish, along with watermax for bacteria. In flower, I will be adding a bloom booster, sonic bloom.

For the light l, I am using the spyder2i and I have just turned it up to 90 % and it is currently 2ft away as I wasn't paying attention and made some crispy leaves earlier on.

Some odds and ends I am also using for equipment include:
A/c unit, dehumidifier, 1/4 hp water chiller, 250 maybe a 500 gph water pump, top off res [currently not using], the current culture system, ac infinity 6in fan with carbon scrubber, blue label guardian monitor.

For everyone that wants to follow, 😉!

Thanks for the likes and follows.

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but if my ppms stay the same as the water levels go down, that would mean they are feeding? I figured if they weren't eating the ppms would rise over time.

I hope this helps you.

Normal ph drift can happen, i let mine wonder around 5,3-6 but I'm using AN ph perfect serie, about half strenght and i also add ph- ( tap water is very alkaline)

Keep on growing and stay safe

Day 18 veg

Hey all, hope everyone is doing well!

So, looking at the chart I'm pretty close to perfect conditions. They are drinking and feeding just fine. They seem to have finally bounced back after the topping and the heavy defol.

The ladies have been topped 1 time and then the next node down I let grow for a total of 4 main branches for each plant.

I thought about having a scrog due to the breeder saying this is a high yielding strain with dense heavy flowers. Pretty sure I'm just gonna go without and use yoyos to support the biggest ones. Although, I'm sure I'll know soon enough if I should have one or not.

Any input on using a scrog method?

Here is a bigger picture of the grow room right now and what I'm working with. Sorry about the mess, I'm rearranging some things right now.

Day 22 Veg

Hey all, I hope everyone is doing well!

Today is a small update as I have not really touched them since last update. As of now the ppms are steady and going down a little faster than they are drinking but I would rather be on the slightly underfed side than overfed.

The ladies are doing pretty good so far. They have still only been topped once, and I think I'm going to stick with that. I will be doing some lst within the next couple days and they will also get a nice defol to open everything up.

I'm just kind of winging it when it comes to how long I want to veg for. Breeder says that the stretch is quite a bit but if I do some lst, I think I can get a bit more out of them. I'm trying to have my light all the way up to the ceiling to push em to the max. This is also my first grow that I can use a whole room, I have been using a 5x5 tent ever since I started, only using 2 of the 4 buckets I have.

So, what's everyone's favorite medium to grow in? Best setups? I'm just curious to see other ways I can adapt and improve.

I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas! 🎄🎅🤶:yummy:

I haven't read much about growing in perlite, although i did start in soil and made a mistake when I thought I could handle 10 plants in a 5x5 ... big mistake on my part lol.

Do you have a grow going currently?
Two at the moment. They're in my signature.
Last winter I overloaded a 2x4 with 3 plants. I can't imagine trying to deal with 10 plants in a 5x5.

I started to follow along on your grows. I'm always excited to learn new techniques, even if it's a different medium. Now a days, I strive for quality over quantity. Also, I like the little Halloween buckets you started in!

Day 28 veg

Hey all, I hope everyone is ready for Christmas.

Update time.
I have still been hands off most of the time. Just topping off water and replenishing nutrients. The water is plain tap water that comes out at 6.5 and the nutrient that I'm using is supernatural bloom aqua at 1/2 strength, that brings my ppms to 1000. Prior to the feeding the tips were just starting to yellow so it was good timing. Also, 1oz of watermax was added.

They also got a defol, lots of big fan leaves and lower branches got cut off. I tried to tie down the most important branches to open up the canopy but I ran out of ties so we'll see what happens there. I was hoping the branches would stretch enough and the weight would naturally pull them apart. 🤞

The light is about 1.5 feet above the canopy and is turned to 90%. I plant to veg for another 1- 2 weeks but I don't know how tall they will get. I believe the flower time is 8-9 weeks.

Here they are a day after the defoliation.

Day 31 veg

I have topped off the system with plain tap water and added another round of nutrients at 1/2 strength which brought the ppms to 1000. I upped the light intensity to 90% and it is sitting about 1 to 1 1/2 feet above the canopy. I still have not turned on the exhaust as I have an ac unit running right now, which keeps the temp at 75 and rh at 45%.

After the defol and lst, they seemed to bounce back way bushier than they were. Another week of veg and I will be flipping to flower. They will get a heavy defol on day 1 of flower.

Update: Day 1 of flower

Today marks day 1 of flower. today i did a massive defol on the ladies, i have some before and after photos. I added another round of nutrients, just the same nutrient that I have been using. I will be adding the flower booster as soon as I see pre flowers. So far, the ladies are doing well. I think at least. I've used the schwazzing method before, but I didn't take as much off as needed so I took a little more off this time. I prolly could've taken off more but I wanted to be safe.

So, today marks the countdown to harvest. T-70 days!

I hope everyone has a merry Christmas!

Does anyone have any advice on what I can change to get a 1lb per plant? I've always come so close but never hit it.
Increasing your veg period will give you a bigger plant with a bigger harvest.
Also adding co2 can increase density and weight.
Girls look great my friend :high-five:
