Two Arrested After Drug Bust

In southeast Winnipeg a man and woman are in custody on drug-related charges after city cops searched a home.

The Winnipeg police street crime unit and the heavily armed premeditated uphold team on Friday used a search warrant to enter the residence in the 1400-block of Niakwa Road and apprehended marijuana and hash oil, in addition to $10,000 in cash and a vehicle.

Police assumed that the 36 pounds of marijuana have an expected street value of $108,000, and the worth of the 26 grams of hash oil is likely to be $650.

Under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, Jesse Pat Lyle who is of 28, and Vanessa Sherry-Lyn Deutscher who is of 19 have been incriminated with numerous offences.

Yesterday in St. Vital Winnipeg Police have seized a large amount of cash and drugs next a bust.

It took place in the 1400 block of Niakwa Road where police detained over $100,000 worth of marijuana and hash oil, $10,000 cash and a vehicle which was used to pact drugs.
