Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon when police allegedly found a bag of marijuana in the center console of the Chevrolet Blazer they were driving.
Arrested were Bradley M. Calfas, 24, of the 1500 block of West Enos Avenue and Michael J. Swartz, 20, of Ravenden, Ark.
Police patrolling in the area of Brian Lane and Laurel Street about 3:45 p.m. noticed a green Chevrolet Blazer turn left at a stop sign while signaling a right turn. Police pulled over the Blazer at 17th Street and South Grand Avenue and talked to Calfas, who was driving. Police said he was nervous, wouldn't make eye contact and was on parole.
They said he gave them permission to search him, but they didn't find anything. They then searched the Blazer and found what they described as a large bag of marijuana in the center console.
