Two Desert Busts Yield 2,100 Pounds of Marijuana

Ajo - Agents assigned to the Ajo station observed a person Thursday morning trying to cut through a boundary fence surrounding the Barry Goldwater Air Force Bombing Range.

The individual was trying to circumvent patrols conducted by agents, the patrol said. As agents approached the area, the man got into a pickup and drove east.

Pilots found the truck abandoned and inside they discovered 43 bundles of marijuana. The marijuana weighed more than 1,000 pounds with an estimated value of $844,000.

Nogales - Agents assigned to Nogales were using a mobile surveillance system early Friday when they detected a group of people carrying what appeared to be backpacks across the desert in the darkness. Agents and a Border Patrol canine team responded to the area near Tumacacori.

The canine team discovered 20 bundles of marijuana under bushes and trees, but the backpack carriers had fled. The marijuana was taken to the Nogales station. The marijuana weighed 1,049 pounds and has an estimated value of almost $840,000

Another one of the DEA'S bullshit stories. 1000lbs. 840,000 HA HA HA HA HA!! A person can buy all the commercial herb they can afford or haul for 400 a lb. Our Gov. could'nt tell the truth if it F'in hit them upside there head. Can'nt they figure out the whole Drug policy is what have caused all the cartel's & gang bullshit.What's the incentive for young poor kid's to go to school or go get job for what 7.50 an hr. when they can stand on a street corner and make a grand or more selling weed. If we were allowed to grow our own if a person want's, no one would use the gang's to buy weed from I know this for a fact. Can't think anybody think's this bullshit is real. Please" you in offices of Government get your head's out of your ass'es or get out of office, One of these day's the movement is going to embarrass the shit out of you, at that point maybe you'll all figure it out.
