Two Wedding Cake Crosses, A Purp#1 & A Below Average Grower

My last growth went shit and I ended up with a Master Kush (Humboldt Seeds) and a Purple Diesel Daze (Europe Seeds) that only gave me about 100 grams each. The smoke was alright, but all over it did not match my expectations... Prior to that I f..... up some strains from Exotic Genetix and some freebees (growers mistake all the way).

This time I decided to wait until I got some good stuff finished in veg and I will try to give updates a couple times a week from now on. Currently I am at day 2 with 12-12.

Strains: 3 Nila Wafer (Wedding Cake * Sundae Driver) from Cannarado, 2 Banana Cake (Wedding Cake * Banana OG) from In-House genetics and 1 Purps#1 (Purple Afghani Kush * Blueberry) from Dinafem. In other words a line up leaning heavily to the indica side.

Grown in a 5*5 tent with a HLG 600W QB light

This week I am feeding with ProTek from Dynagro, Rhizotonic and Cannazym from Canna, Bud Blood, Mother Earth Tea, Calmag, Carboload and the full root pack (Pirahna, Tarantulla and Voodoo Juice) from Advanced N. The larger plants are fed about 1,2 EC while the smaller ones are given 1,0 EC, both with a ph of 5,7 - 5,8.

I will be back with some pics within a few minutes so if anyone feels like following a below average grower in his struggle. Please take a seat:)

Nila Wafer #3:

I almost killed this as I almost snapped the main stem in 2, but it will be ok I hope. The smallest and slowest growing of the NW's.

Nila Wafer #2:

My favorite by far. Great structure, fast growing and more than that. 68 cm in diameter after defoliation 2 days ago. High hopes for this one!!!

Nila Wafer #1:

20200604_010803.jpg

Fast growing, just not as good structure as #2, but still a good looking plant:)

Purps#1:

20200604_010026.jpg

Freebee I could not resist. I know you want some of that old school stoney indica!!!:) This one was planted more than 4 weeks after the NW's and the first BC

Banana Cake#1:

Banana Cake#2:

Almost as large as the biggest NW, but the structure of either of the BC's are not as good as the NW's. Still a good looking plant in my book... This one was started a little over 2 weeks after the NW's and BC #1...

The plants are in 3, 4,5 and 6 gallon pots with 50% coco and 50% perlite, vermucuilte and clay pebbles.

I do expect the NW's and BC's to stretch a lot so I also expect the 5*5 tent to be pretty full within a couple of weeks.

This will be exiting:)

A pic taken at the end of day 8:

Purps#1 in the left at the back and 2 Nila Wafer at center and right back. Nila Wafer in center front and Banana Cake at front left and right. 2 plants are in 25 liter pots, 2 grows in 17,5 liter pots and the last 2 grows in 11 liter pots.

Due to availability issue I only have nutes fromAdvanced Nutrition, some Canna and ProTek from DynaGro this round.

The menu for week 2: ProTek Sillica, Pirahna, Tarantulla and Voodoo juice, Rhiziotonic and Cannazym, Carboload, Big Bud Coco, Jungle Juice Micro and Mother Earth Super Tea (Bloom). I know AN are s... expensive and contains LOTS of water in LOTS of bottles, but their stuff work. The Mother Earth Super Tea is in my humble opinion a great great product. The plants simply look better when I use this product instead of some synthetic stuff:) They drink a little over 2 gallons a day, Ph 5.8ish and EC 1,3. Temperature is 29,5 - 30 degrees C and humidity ranges from high 40ies to mid 50ies. Can't complaint about that:)

As u can see, my girls are filling in and out nicely. Expect my 5*5 tent will be filled out completely in a week and expect it will stretch for almost two weeks. Glad my tent has 235 cm height cuz' they grow 3-5 cm/ day except from the Purps#1, which as expected is a bit slower.

So far the Nila Wafers has a bit better structure than the Banana Cakes, but they all look good. The NWs are so far among the finest ones I ever grown. Good work Cannarado Genetics.

Is about to pull the trigger on some new beans as I managed to hide some money away from the wife. Thinking about some of the Grease Monkey Crosses from Exotic Genetix and some of the WhyUGelly crosses from Solfire Gardens. Anyone with any experience with these?:)

Nila Wafer #2 is filling in great. This is possibly my favorite plant ever at this stage:

Just you wait til' I defoliate in about 2 weeks so you can see the structure of this plant in full!!! This plant grow so darn solid with a log thick main stem and side branches looking like main stems

Purps#1:

20200610_191110.jpg

A bit slower than the Wedding Cake crosses, but not bad at all for such a slow veg time. I KNOW you want some of that old school stoney indica!!!:)

The next generation:

20200610_190851.jpg

Took 2 clones from the 2 best lookin' Nila Wafers and 2 from the best looking Banana Cake the last day in veg. Got roots comin' out of 5 of 6 already after 8 days

20200610_190924.jpg

From seed: A freebee I got with the Banana Cake. Its a cross of OOKB (not OGKB:)) and Cactus. Supposed to be 100% indica and stong as f... At least its slow growing 4 sure...

Start of day 11: Its filling in and out more and quicker than expected and it will most likely look really wild when the stretch is done, which should be in about 10 days. Moved around a bit so I have the 3 Nila Wafer's at one side and the two Banana Cakes and the Purps#1 at the other side. The NW's have the best structure, looks like being the same pheno and grows a bit faster than the BC's which might be two different phenos. The Purps#1 is the slowest growing as expected, but throws out really nice solid side branches.

The two largest NW's in front and the two BC's in the back. The 600W QB are REALLY bright:

20200612_233520.jpg

The two NW's in the previous pic top view: The right one is one of my all time favs at this stage. There simply is not anything to dislike with growth, structure, solidness and looks. Bella donna!!!

20200612_233551.jpg

The whole gang: 3 NW's in front row. 2 BC's in left and centre and Purps#1 in right at the back row

20200612_233627.jpg

Been feeding them about 1,3 EC with roots stuff from Advanced and Canna and Micro, Big Bud Coco and Mother Earth Tea. Temp about 29 - 30 and humidity in the high 40ies. Very happy with all the plants and especially the NW at this stage:):)

Time flies!!! Already at day 18. It got a bit wilder than expected and I decided to do some light defoliation yesterday. It did not seem to affect the stretch as the both the Nila Wafers and Banana Cakes grew 3 cm+ the last 24 hours. So, I decided to continue my gradual defoliation and also started to remove quite a lot of leaves from the lower part of the plant.

Been giving them 1,4 EC of nutes: Big Bud Coco, Nirvana, Jungle Juice Micro, B52 and Mother Earth Super Tea Bloom from Advanced N, Protek from Dyna Gro and Cannazym & Rhiziotonic from Canna. Ph 5,8. Run off holds about the same as what comes in.

The most of the whole of the gang:

20200620_042507.jpg

Together the drank 4,5 gallons the last 24 hours. Them girls are getting thirsty.

Struggling with a bit high temps as it has been hot here the last few days. Day temps at 30 - 31 C and "night" temps at 25-27 C. Glad I have all white LEDs without any IR i the Spectrum:) Luckily it will get colder the coming week.

So far I guess everything is very OK.

Within 3-4 days when the stretching is done I will defoliate and lollipop properly.

Took some pics at the end of day 25:

Top view of the Purps#1:

This plant looks like its a good yielder considering it was vegged a lot shorter than the others. Nice structure. Its a few days in front of the rest of the gang in development.

2 Banana Cakes and the Purps#1 in the midle:

20200627_085720.jpg

Looks very good in the banana section. The closest plant looks like the best yielder of them all the the one at the end is not far behind either,...

A row of Nila Wafers:

20200627_085917.jpg

The two closest to the camera looks like being the same pheno and is quite a lot in front of the one on the other end. Looks like the two closest will yield the most as well, but its early. The two of the same pheno looks quite similar to the two Banana Cakes so maybe all of them are Wedding Cake leaners.

Feeding them with 1,5 EC of Cannazym and Rhiziotonic from Canna, B52, Nirvanva, Big Bud Coco, Jungle Juice Micro and Mother Earth Super Tea from advanced and Protek from Dynagro. Looks decent so far in my book:)

Booom!!! and suddenly it was day 52....

Here are the ladies:

Nila Wafer pheno 1.:

A frosty lill' gal that stretched a lot. Looks like a medium yielder and the lowest yield of the 3 Nila Wafer phenos, but the bud looks grrrrrreat. Smells like sweet and earthy not extremly strong yet. Guess its around 70 days.

Nila Wafer pheno 2. Looks like this is a Sundae driver leaner. Its way ahead, bout' a week of the two others. Lighter green, with some beautiful orange/brown hairs. Packs some frost, but not as much as the first pheno. I overfed this quite bad so its more potential. The yield is a bit more than pheno 1, but given the fantastic structure with thick branches I expected it to have larger flowers. Smells a bit dank fruity with some gas.

Nila Wafer pheno 3: Stretches about the same as pheno 1, but with better structure. Think its a wedding cake leaner as it looks almost identical to one of the Banana Cakes I grow. Smells earthy and a bit spicy with a dank vanilla undertone. Looks like about 70 days and the nugs are chunking up nicely. Can be a good yielder.

So far pheno 1 is the winner and luckily I cloned it. Climate has been less than opitmal and the shaping went s... so this one could be a keeper. Guess it would be possible to get it even more frosty when dialed in and with less humidity and lower night temps, but that was impossible this run...

Banana cake pheno 1. Stretches the same as the two stretchy Nila Wafer phenos did. Darker green colour with more white hair on the buds. Frosty and bulks up fine. Good yielder. Smells a bit piney, with some fruity sweetness in it. Looks like about 70 days.

Banana cake pheno 2. This is big mama when it comes to yield. Vegged 2-3 weeks less than the other Banana and Nilas, but will easily outperform them all with at least 20-25%. Not so frosty as the other banana and lighter green. Looks really similar to the last Nila Wafer pheno, but with chunkier and bigger buds. Would guess another 70dayer...
