Hey all, new here.
The grows already under way at about Day #17 Flowering stage, but thought I'd start a journal. Here's a little background info (including lots of photos - reduced size for ease) on what's happening so far.
We acquired 3 Clippings, told that they all were Blueberry. Starting to think they weren't clippings anymore, but I'll get to that later + everything around here gets called 'Blueberry' so we were always sceptical.

1st Grow, I already knew a bit, but been learning as I go, I've learnt so much already from other peoples grow journals, forum topics, word-of-mouth e.t.c, so I hope mine helps others. I've tried to add dates and measurements as a guide, so not only I remember, but to help others I guess. :rollit:

Flowering Day #1
After about a month of growing, decided to start 12/12 and again pruned Nancy a little bit. Nancy seemed to be looking the nicest, tallest and bushiest. Took in a friends plant that you can see far left, as there wasnt enough space this couldnt be re-potted and its leaves were going yellow.

Heights: Mary: 16", Jane: 15", Nancy: 16.5" appx
Normal watering was added (from tap) about 200ml + water in trays to help encourage root growth as usual.
( Also nutes added midday - ½ small spoon to 2 gallons bucket )

Day #4 — Noticed Tips Turning yellow on Nancy + Jane, more so Nancy and was worryied again that the solution was too high especialy as the Nitrogren is so high in MG.
Added more water at about 4:20 :)

Heights: Mary: 17", Jane: 17.5", Nancy 17"

The little runts caught up and starting to look beautiful. All are very stinky now, and had to buy some plug in Frebreze air-freshioners.
Nancy and Mary look similar, short and bushy, lighter green thinner leaves, Where as Jane (aka runt) hasnt developed quite as many leaves, but bigger darker green.

Here's some Pics:

Day #8 – Mary’s starting to droop quite a bit, its really bushy, also whole plant leaves look a little pale, and dry. I gave it no water in the morning and spent the day researching, looking into if it Underwatering or Overwatering.
Decided that it was Underwatering so added water in the evening, was a hard choice as everyones so vaugue with their descriptions.

I’ve come to understand that; If its Overwatering they will be dropping alot and appear ‘lifeless’ where as underwater a drooping a little less, and the leaves themselves are very dry and heavy to the touch. (Im stoned atm so sorry if i got it a bit wrong still) :peace:

My photos are starting to get better so heres some pics from the day before:

Day #9 – The horror when i woke up... Nancy, the best looking one decides to turn hermie!!! :( I whip it out and stare at it for hours, i was so glad that a week prior i had been reseaching what to look for to determine Females & Males, but Nancy had female hairs, now, millions of seeds! Dammit! Removed Nancy from the room so 1 down. 2 Left, Good old Mary & Jane.

Heres a pic: (Trust me, you only want to see 1 pic else you’d cry too!)

I got more to add, but it takes some time - Stay Tuned

Day #10 — Double checked over Mary & Jane this morning when turning on the light... i forgot to mention that i still havent figured out the electric timer switch, i lost the manual ages ago, and as many times as i think i've set it right, it just wont work, so i turn it On & Off manualy.

Marys drooping less so im sure it was underwatering now, as im giving them both about 500ml every morning now.
Janes shot up! The runts now the tallest, and its colas are starting to fill out, i cant wait to finish, so surprised by jane now. Also starting to see more differences between them, is this normal if they're the same strain? Hmm...
Hieghts: Mary: 20.5", Jane 22" appx

Again more eye candy, I love it, sorry if theres too many/too little, im trying to choose some of the best:

Re: Unknown Strains — Closet grow: April to July

03/06/09:
Day #15 – The day prior the 1 in the small pot went hermie, im worried now about the other two, but they’re looking healthy enough, even with janes very slight nute burnt. Anyway, gave Mary a small prune to just rid it of the yellow leaves, decided to cut away two top fan leaves, i know this isnt always a good idea, but they were covering alot, and the tuck technique was fustrating!

The bud spots are coming along nicely. Mary has around 8 exterior colas + its ever growing main cola. Jane, well, has two secondary colas growing faster than the others, but has around 8-10! They’re both bushing out now and starting to realise that there probably wasnt going to be enough space for 3, so glad we’re down to 2.

Time for some macro shots – Hope you like, + feel free to comment with suggestions e.t.c, much appreciated.
First proper bud porn?:

Done, well, up untill a day or two ago, More photos + Updates as & when they happen! :yummy:

Well, if she's showing signs of nute burn, I would lower the amount you are giving her and keep the same amount for the other plants. Sometimes one plant is more sensitive than the others. I'm not familiar with the nutes you are using. Does it happen to have a feeding schedule on it?

06/06/09:
Day #18 – After giving them just a splash of the nute solution 3 days ago now, Marys gone extra yellow, and pruned off quite a few leaves. Also Jane has a few leaves with alot of black spots.
So i decided to do a ‘half-flush’; poored 2.5x the normal amount holding the plant up and let it drain through into the tray. Janes soil seems to go dryier quicker, but she is the tallest. A few hours later they started to look a little better, but spots of-course still remain on Jane.

Ms.Fox
The Miracle Grow indoor instructions say to us the 1.25ml to 1L and use every 2-4 weeks. Now that to me, sounds way to high for MJ, and i’ve been using about 0.75 to 9L just to be safe, and given each plant a max of 0.25L once a week.

They seemed to be doing alright without it, and highly regretting it now. But the damage is done.. hopefully they get better.

This leaf has been like this for bout a week also, hasnt got any bigger, but i havent wanted to prune it. Anyone got a diagnosis?

Thanks for the comments so far guys, and helps much appreciated. :peace:

Lookin' good! Can't wait to turn mine to a flowering schedule...although I am quite nervous about hermies and males.

How do you get the fish-eye style pics? Is it a camera setting or an external device?

I wish I had some Blueberry...I knew some people back home who grew it and it would knock you on your butt. I hadn't smoked in three months and took one bong hit :roorrip: when I went to visit and it made my ears ring for about 20-30 minutes and I couldn't move for three hours :cheer:

Hey Lil Neutrino - Im hoping my blueberry does that :ganjamon:

I wouldnt worry too much about hermies, but do keep a close eye, and read up on what to be looking for. Heres a quick description: What is an Hermaphrodite?

I have a fisheye lens on for a few, plus when i zoom right out with just the macro it gives the ring effect too. I love my fisheye lens a bit too much probably, but hope you enjoy the pics.
Will be giving an update on the grow tomorrow when i wake up (about 3:28am here in England) - Hopefully my babies have gotten better over night.

Ah ok...nah, the fish-eye view has a purpose and that is to make a large area viewable with a smaller pic, exactly what you want! I don't think I've seen it used on these forums but I haven't read anywhere near the majority of the journals. I'll have to try that with the macro on my camera...I think it will tell me it can't focus with the auto-focus so I'll try it with a manual focus.

07/06/09:
Day #19 — Janes leaves are getting worse — So did a half flush — About 3L of water, as our 3gallon pots are only half-full with PH Perfect soil. The problem is that theres loads of small brown/rust style spots all over and the leaves are turning yellow, starting to look serious. Bout 4-8 similar to my earlyier pic:

edited_IMG_4272.jpg

Anyone please 100% confirm which nute problem it is?

08/06/09:
Day #20 — Taking more photos now as Jane has gotten alot worse over night — Will upload some asap. Help/ideas needed.

hi m8 flushem m8 if you using 3 gallon pots take each pot outside and flush them with 9 gallons of water each and don t nute em for a few weeks also lower your nutes now this is only im my opinion and i also think you were over watering do you boil your water then leave it 24 hours to dispell chlorine before watering coz i find this helps alot as the water is then at room temp and pure....hope this helps ps ive just posted after your latest post on my thread
