Vex's 1st Auto Flower Adventure Under New LED Lights Sponsored By WEEGrow

Hello Friends and Fellow Growers,

Welcome to my first ever sponsored journal. I am excited to share my experience with you all.

First, I want to thank @420 and its awesome sponsors for offering great products/prizes to 420Mag members.
I especially want to thank @OfficialWEEGrow for sending me two of their WG-1000 lights.

I truly appreciate the opportunity to showcase their product to this amazing community of growers.

Let's dive in shall we? :bongrip:

The WG-1000 LED lights are advertised to cover 3x3 Veg and 2x2 Bloom.

I will be using them in my 4x4 Bloom tent, hanging over a 3x4 grow area. I'll be using PVC and panda film to help with light penetration as I'm sure these lights will cover this space nicely.

Each light consumes 150W. I was running 1 light @190W on my last grow. Very happy with the wattage upgrade.

I added some Specs and info below from their website, but please be sure to check them out. They have a chat feature if you have questions or require assistance. (Although I have not had the need to use it.)

High Efficiency LED Grow Light】 Adopting Newest smd led technology, WG-1000 grow light provides highest par/lumen output while only consumes 150W. High Energy Efficiency with 2.7 umol/J, and designed to replace a traditional 250watt hps, WEEGrow WG-1000 Plants Growing lamp makes you get 30% higher yield and max 2.5g yield per wattage compared with old blurple led lights.

Low Energy Consumption & Full Spectrum】 415 LEDs consumes only 150W±10%, saving up to 50% energy than other led grow lights. 10% larger than other grow lights in size, perfect for 3x3ft. Full spectrum LEDs 3000K 5000K and IR 660nm 760nm red, ultra close to natural light for all plants in all stages growing, help to achieve greater yield and crop quality.
Timing Function】 WG-1000 growing lamp comes with 3 timing patterns, which allows it to automatically turn off (2h/ 8h/ 12h) according to your settings. These three timing patterns are able to overlay each other, so you can also customize the most suitable light time for your plants: (Timed=2h+8h+...12h).
Remote Control & Dimmable】Designed with 2.4G remote control, allowing you to turn on/off the light, set timing and adjust the 5 brightness level (20%-40%-60%-80%-100%) via the remote. You can also use the remote to control multiple plant lights in group, conveniently control all the lights in the distance, suitable for Large Rooms and Commercial Setups.
Noise Free & High Reflective】Silent fanless design with no fans and zero noise makes your growing life quiet and easy. Aluminum Hood with good heat dissipation ensures long lifespan of the light and reduces light loss to aisles and walls, increasing the light intensity up to 30% and allowing your plants to receive more light for photosynthesis.

My first impressions when opening the well packaged boxes:

1. Smiled when I saw the zipped bag filled with remote (and an extra battery, +1 for that!), manual, metal hangers, rope ratchet hangers, zip ties and even a paper measuring tape. I thought that was nifty, it's the little things sometimes. :)

2. They are really light weight, which made setting them up in my tent solo super easy. Weighing just under 4lbs.

3. The reflector hoods feel very sturdy. Quality material and well built as far I can see and feel. Honest opinion.
The WG-1000's measure 14.8"x12.5"x1.69" and fit perfectly in my space.

4. No fans or drivers. Zero added noise and heat. Great for stealth grows.

5. Long power cord with On/Off switch. Although using the remote will make controlling both lights with tent closed effortless.

Unboxing photos coming very soon. :yahoo:

Grow & Stain Info:

I chose to give Autos a try for this journal as I personally feel the WG-1000 may be best suited for smaller tents. Many growers with tighter spaces tend to grow autos, not always though. One may purchase multiple WEEGrow lights as they state you can control an unlimited group of WG-1000 and Q-1000 lights with 1 remote. That's pretty neat! I have yet to setup my remote, but will do is asap and add my review.

I wanted to get this journal started and will continue to add my results. :)

Which strains are they?

I chose these Blueberry crosses to be able to compare them, as I love the Blueberry strain. :)

First Impression & Setup so far:

WOW! These bad boys are bright!

As you may notice, no blurple!! So happy with that. Should make for some sweet, sweet bud shots!

Finished the new PVC design which should allow more space to work on the plants, especially ample access to the adjacent Teen tent.

I just need to finish the drain system and place the reservoirs on the cleaned cinder blocks that are in my garage, moving those in the tent soon.

I'll prep the fabric bags with coco/perlite so they'll be ready once I see tap roots. :)

I plan turn turn on 1 light and dim if needed for the seedlings until they go root bound.

Lights off:

The reservoirs are temporarily resting on 10 pound weights until I move the cinder blocks in and finish the hydrowick system.

Hey All,

Quick update and some more shots as I continue to build the system.

I always like to share my 3D designs which helped me plan out this grow space. I needed to be creative due to the adjacent Teen tent. It should be comfy enough this way to work in both tents. :)

The seeds have shown a lil tap rootage. Whoot!

I'll buffer the coco now and hope to drop the seedlings in their permanent home tomorrow.

Good morning Friends & Fellow Growers.

Quick update and some shots!

The ladies popped out of their shells within 2 days while in a damp paper towel.

This was 6 hours after starting germination:

The next afternoon:

This is how they look now:

I decided to plant them in solo cups until I completed the HydroWick system.

They are definitely loving the WG-1000. I have the light hanging about 24" at 100% brightness. I love how high I can hang these lights once the ladies stretch. That should give the plants ample height to grow.

I set up the remote, which was a breeze. Just power off the light for 10 seconds, hold the On button on remote, then turn the light back on. It'll flash 3 times and boom, connected.

I was shocked to see the light was at 80% from factory, as it got even brighter once I start to test the brightness settings. :thumb:

These lights are very bright:

I haven't set the timer, as I'm giving the Autos 24 hours of light right now, but will dial it back to 20-4 or 18-6 once I transfer them to the 1 gallon Fabric pots.

I'll share some photos of the system soon. :Namaste:

Hey Grand Daddy Black.

I appreciate the likes. Welcome! :)
Hey, VexGrows!

I am fascinated by what you are doing with all the pipes, bricks and totes. Can't wait to see the final set-up. Right now I find the whole thing vexing! ;)

Haha. That made me laugh out loud.

Yes, I medicate and play with the 3D software when I'm feeling super "creative". ;)

It definitely helps when planning a build in small grow spaces.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what both of these lights can produce over a 3x4 canopy.

I should have the whole system completed by the weekend. As the Autos seem fine on the Solo cups for now.

Hey hey!

Quick update and some shots.

The WG-1000 is doing it's thing, no complaints here. Can't wait to turn both on once the ladies get big enough. :)

Both BD and GB are growing nicely. I've only fed them PH'd water, around 6ish.

I hope to move them to the 1 gallon bags tonight. So exciting!

Also decided to keep the light at 100% brightness, but raised it to 30" until I switch to the 20-4 light schedule when moved to fabric bags.

Thank you, VetSmoke.

Pardon the delayed response, had some personal stuff that kept me away.

Long overdue update:

It's my first time growing in Coco, and think I may have over watered the seedlings while in solo cups. I fed them a bit of PH'd water when I felt the coco slightly damp. Hmmm

I moved the Blue Diesel to the 1 gal pot to see if it helped, and left the GlueBerry in solo cup to compare. I may just pop 2 new autos and start them directly in the 1 gallon fabric bags.

I also dimmed the lights to 80%. It might have been too strong at 100% for the seedling stage, even with the light height at 30". These lights are bright! Gah!

Live and learn...

Thoughts?

Hi VexGrows, I'm on board for the ride. I'm very interested in the grow media. I've never seen a hybrid of Coco and DWC. Would you please explain a little bit about how the system works?

Cheers :thumb:

I should have stopped by sooner. You need turn your lights down start around 30% at 30 in, and go from there!
They are definitely looking hungry and burnt.
Don't give up, cheering you on.
I'll swing back around, good luck!

great start. your space looks nicely plumbed in. :)

the lights look great.
