Ganjagrandaddy's World

and one more question, do you look at trichomes before harvesting?
I do use a scope if I am unsure but usually just for the close up fun and seeing them in the flesh. I think you just get a feeling for the right time over time. Seeing the second pistils starring to arrive now so they will still go another 2 weeks hopefully. Lol They need the size now !. Haha tha ks for the comment and welcome

Day 47 F: Quick update on the girls as I thankfully saw they had new pistils bei g put out for the second flush ( g.s.c) I have now used the Dragon force and sumo boost only to feed the very thirsty ladies today but they had a really good saturate to run off. Their buds are looking so perfect close up and the sweet, pineapple, icky smell is beautiful up close. The terps really kick in when they need a watering and I notice it way before I can open the tent zips. They are putting the weight on finally now and my panic is less up front now. Lol . Now I know there are three girl scouts, it has been easier to feed them at the correct cycle point and not assuming e that the #3 still has 4 weeks as the Amnesia haze do....

The Amnesia are also looking very nice now with the frosty sparkles picking up pace as they slowly swell. They both have a very good amount of bud sites to work with and they look so potent now. With abwhoke 4 weeks still to go and still to be fed with the Dragon force. They will be a proud harvest I think. Fingers crossed.

I have also been feeding the critical cheese as the Amnesia as she is also a long flowering period . She looks skinny but I know this is bluff for when she hammers the weight on around week 8/9/10. Never seen a poor critical .

The light has done us proud already with the nug density lower development too. I can only imagine the the end results. With that I need to go and be Daddy. Have fun growmies. enjoy the pics

Hi all . Thought a little bud porn of this amazing lights results so far were in order. The mix up of strains has been an experience to get over due to feeding and using finishers. Both the G.s.c are starting to look like something you would buy in a candy shop as a sugar treat. With a second pistils burst well under way now and swelling in the right places , I am glad I gave them the extra time to do it rather than a panicked harvest. I am still suspect on the identity of Gsc#3 either now looking more like the Amnesia haze.
They are starting to really frost up now and look potent with it. Even low into the canopies , they have nice forming bud stacks tucked away. The penetration from this light is impressing me so far and seeing the density of the buds forming all over the grow, I am under no doubt that the finished nugs will need rock vmcrushers instead of my "virgins knees" grinder.!! It has been another very busy week in the real world so time to update has suffered a little but I am getting there. Lol enjoy the Friday porn extravaganza and remember , private shimmies can be arranged in the back room....

Be safe and stoney

DAY 56 FLOWERING: Well folks , it is time for one of the Girl scouts (#2) as she has given up some amazing colours and and looks so bang on ready with no more fresh pistils sprouting. She has now been put into 48hrs Dark to push The trichs before trimming. She smells and looks so edible and dangerous too. Her sister is close but not quite there yet with a few fresh pistils still dancing away. The rest of the ladies have had a shuffle around and general look through to remove any possible nasty , dead , leaves that could invite the mould. Rh has been good in the room but outside the tent is so cold and winter feeling that I can feel the humidity too. Will be a fun game when drying !.
Rhe frost is building nicely on the Amnesia now too. The #3 that has a slight identity issue ( of my making!) , has a lot of yellowing and fading out beginning to dominate now but this was down to moving it to the dragon force as I believed it was a gsc. Fed with water the last two feeds to try to lessen available dragon force in the soil. I am still feeding as normal with the Amnesia and the guest critical for the next week or so , then it's over to the dragon for them too. I am amazed by the coverage from the light and quality of the buds it has helped develop too. The critical is a skinny minney by strain so I expect her to wait until the last week or so to show her girth. Here are the pics to back up the speak as always lol Be lucky and well growmies. Thanks #viparspectra for this bud monster light and Zamnesia seeds for the great genetics. The next project for it is already secured and the seeds are dancing in their packets after I told them to "ready up for departure " . Watch this space !!!

DAY 58 F: WOOHOO. We have the 1st one of this run trimmed and hanging to dry. The Girl scout cookie #2 has been in the dark getting tacky for the past 48 hrs. I had not removed any leaf just put her out into the cold dark loft space. !!.

She has been really easy to trim up without the need to use the bowl trimmer. Her overall size now the leaf has all been removed is fairly medium. The buds are really dense and feel quite weighty but I am not expecting a big yield once dried from her at all. This strain could have been allowed a lot more height than the lst I used set her up for. With more height I do think she could have given a lot more. The smell is amazing from her and I am not dissatisfied with the end result so far. Roll on the dry to sample this lady.
I took her sister out today too. She is looking so sweet and ready that I couldn't resist any longer. She will be trimmed up and hung alongside her sister in a few days time too. She does look a little more productive than her sister with a few more bud sites hidden in that Bush.

This has given me even more space to spread the remaining 4 ladies out and get some high par numbers across them all now too. With 3 weeks to still run on their flowering cycle , I am watching and waiting for the second flush of pistils to signal the coming end at about week 9/10 . I am feeding with Mc and the shogun for another couple of weeks and then on to the dragon force in the last 10 days. 2 of the Amnesia are fading quite quickly now so must be close for them but 1 still has a lot of fresh green and white pistils so I think she will be the last out.

I am watching the very tall critical take forever to fill out it seems but once she hits her last 2 weeks , I am confident she will swell too. The buds are so solid on the other Amnesia ladies that they have no spongyness at all if I try to squeeze them . They really do look like tensioned springs waiting to pop now. Lol.
The room and loft stink to high heaven of the cookies too now which I am not complaining about at all. Until the next trim up. Be safe and well

HI again. Just a quick update on the G.s.c #1. She has had her 48hrs+ in the dark after 58 days flowering in the glorious Viparspectra p4000 sunshine. Her overall finished size was approx 18 inches , she was fairly low with her l.s.t and would have benefited more from less I think now. She has produced a good amount of heavy looking tips that will bring the yield up and they really do look too notch. Trimming was not too bad for these ladies as both had fairly low leaf to bud ratios. It only took about half an hour to get her ready to hang

The #3 Amnesia is looking close too now so it will be her next . Be well and safe Growmies. Catch you soon.

DAY 61 FLOWERING: hi all. It's been a steady few days with not too much happening during this slow build week , I expect to see the beginning of a second pistil burst any day now of they are to go to the full 77 days harvest window. The ripeneing on the tops is looking so killer sweet and they are looking ceramic with tightness but below the surfaces , the lower growth is nice and lively green with a really good covering of trichromes. The canopy is doing a great job of hiding the production below its surface and an even better job by helping protect it from the intense glare of the Viparspectra powerhouse. They are getting plenty of light and photosynthetic goodness judging by the girth and development too. I do think these could have been allowed a lot more freedom to grow to hit their best too and dont doubt that they could be really good yielders with space. They have managed to all fit within the lights middle now with only a little of each end being in lower light. I also fed them again at their normal rate . I plan to go to the Dragon force mix on their next feed as I have about 14 days left in flower with them so need to add it before the second pistil burst kicks in. The natural fade has really begun too show through now and has allayed my fears totally about a deficiency. Some of the leaf colours are stunning in the real light here. The next plants under this light will be allowed to grow a more natural size to see just how well they can do if left to the P4000 building the foundation. I have the brand new Fast buds 2022 testers to play with too so will be an interesting time with some "who are my parents" come flowering time. I hope you will join me for it and another run with this amazing light.

Omg somehow you even manage to make yellow leaves look good.
Not my doing Trala . All the plants and natural fade. I used to think i was starving them or a major deficiency had hit in late flower but the temps in the UK drop rapidly with sundown and when lights go off too it has a huge temp drop off. This gives the purples/reds and the plants rapidly converting Chlorophyll stored and cannabalising adds the yellows and faded ones. The buds then add a further plethora of colours to the kaleidoscope. You lucky buggers and your constant warm climates probably see less a of a drop in day/night temps. Thanks for the vibes and sticking with me on these long entries. Much appreciated

Hi fellow 420 fam. Just a few pics to fill out 10 mins I could grab. The Amnesia are now 4 days into their UK style low and slow drying , hanging in my cold and draughty eaves ( there has to be a punchline in that one!) , it serves really well with the method as we are at 8°c outside now and the loft is on par but with airflow. They should take about 10-15 days to get to a jar able rh hopefully. They smell so sweet now too.
20211205_141657.jpg

I am now hoping that my experience is going to back me up here and show how tightly wound up the buds are on the Amnesia haze autos seeing how they now look could have some convinced they are ready but with still 2 weeks at least to run for their intended flowering time , I can see the new , fresh, swelling calyxs with the tiniest of pistils threatening to burst out. They have all taken this appearance on the mains at the tops while below decks they are stacks of green, covered in frost. Another few days should prove me right and I can then hit them with the dragon force to help power it on to more weight and girth. Fingers crossed .lol
here is the bud porn close up .

Hi all. I cant help updating as we get so close to the end with these beauties. Each day they look more potent and finally I can see the start of the second flushes happening. I fed with the Dragon force today which will boost them for their next 7 days at least.

It is really good at keeping the ladies happy during the last stage and I definitely see the results of using it in my grows. It does seem to be about hitting them with it at the right time so I am hoping I have timed it right. There are some perfect looking buds now and I could not resist some close ups. Felt like a tourist in Amsterdam at the windows, they are that sexy now !!!. Lol . I wanted to show the pre Dragon force and how it boosts them in their usual slow weeks. Hopefully the pics will show this over the next week or so.

Even the Critical has finally hitnher second flush and has some potential decent bids appearing to stack up now. She is a huge limbed lady and if they all filled up as I would hope , they could be my auto record.

I have took a few sample sides of the girl scout and now dried them a little quicker. They are rock solid nugs indeed and even with a quicker dry , the smell is beautiful like fresh cut pineapple. The rest hanging is about 2/3 of the way to being ready to jar and I know that will be a tasty , tacky yield now . Been taking it easy as it hits a little heavy. Lol

happy days here in my grotto. Be safe and well growmies.

Winning POTM is a hard bargain around these parts. Ha! Damn fine looking flower Amigo.

NTH
Cheers NTH . I did think a pic in the photo comp might be on the cards for the Amnesia buds. Some beautiful examples from the genetics . So nice in the flesh but my crap phone camera does some weird shit to the light as I am taking pics.lol the front lens has no glass from a drop about a year ago but thankfully the break occurred around the lens and left a perfect open hole so doesnt show on pics but screws up the settings due to the missing glass. Doh... using this one as my better and more capable , amazing Samsung with a camera that would make a sow look presentable , is useless after falling 6 inches to the floor and breaking the "toughened " gorilla glass. Hahaha. Bloody Lego phones.lol Thanks buddy

Day 64 F: yet another post of a few pics of progress. Inam seeing more signs of the second flush of pistils mainly on the #1 girl . Her buds are definitely swelling now as I hope the overhead shot will show. The calyxs look so stuffed full that they all look constipated close up. Lol
Their appearance is so potent looking with the frost building onto the purplish tops. Looks like velvet up close on some. Lower down the stems is still solent green and also looks ready to burst open. Instill have every confidence it is worth the push on.
The big surprise today is the critical cheese. It has swollen overnight on most of the bud sets. Wirhbrhe addition of the Dragon force and a further feed today for them all , I am beginning to see how dominant the critical really is now. She towers the other plants by 3 times their height and if her buds keep swelling like this, she will be up in their faces for yield too. Rhe drying G.s.c is doing beautifully. It is so sticky to touch now too. Still a few days at least before it is close to a jar but the outer surface of them is showing good progress in this low temp , draughty eve. Inam going to leave them until they are bang on the correct dry ,as it would be a shame to blow it with damp hay tasting weed through haste. Keep on smiling Grownies. Soon be Christmas too.

DAY 67 F: Hi grow buddies and fellow 420 fam. It's been a long ride so far and so near and end now. I am still waiting on the second burst but the days are flying towards the 77 stated as their finish. The tops are such nice colours now but the below decks are still lime green and tightly formed. I can see the trichs but next to no pistils at all. Not even older browned ones. I am now goi g to use water to give them a few days to clear the soil a bit before a final feed to finish. The Critical cheese is sweeling still too but I think she will go the full distance. The G.s.c is very nearly done now and so hard to stop nibbling the nugs away for an hour or two drying on my warm computer top. Been hittingn nice and hard too. So impressed with early samples . Totally stone hard nugs that are so dense my grinder struggles !!. Taste is so candy sweet too . I can see a cured nug being a sleeper. It is looking like a slow down my end will be the deal sadly. Only down to a lower count and more of a personal grow than income . Been anlong perperual for me but a onward supply issue has stopped play. I cant sit on lots of weed. Lol. Time will tell.

:) :) :)
Mickey mouse was in his solicitors office and his solicitor exclaimed " Mickey , you cannot divorce Minnie and cut her out finacially because her teeth stick out !!!"
Mickey replied " I dont care about her teeth I said she is fucking Goofy!!!"

DAY 72 F : Hi all. Been a busy week for the Zamnesia girls this week. It is the final days of the Amnesia haze now and I am staggering their removal to the dark . #3 has been in the dark for 24 hrs now and I took the #3 out today to join her. They both look potent and very gritty looking with the trichromes now. They have swollen a little but no second flush that was noticable.

The #1 is the last one still going and has not faded out like her sisters yet. She is on her way but a few days more wont hurt.

The Critical cheese, still looking like a monster compared, is now flushing more pistils over her many mains and could be a winner for yield if they all fill out. She is really fuel smelling now too. I do think she will be another week at least though as she has a lot of opening calyxs.

The Girl scout cookies are done and now jarred curing. After just over 2 weeks low and slow drying in my eaves. I got to harvest some beautiful , dank , smelly nuggets of fun. Not a major haul by some standards but I did train them too low in my paranoia that they would hit the lights very early in their space. They finished as medium sized plants but with fairly heavy elongated buds that are rock solid .

I had used approx 15g over the week as they dried in "samples", so added this to the total yield of 120g for the 2 ladies. 4oz of rock solid quality nugs.

Not a bad start as I did think 2 oz per plant would be an average based on their sizes. I think the Amnesia will easily Match this as they do look a lot chunkier than the Gsc did too. The light has been a great performer in flowering and the overall yield will be less due to the decision i made very early in veg. Reading their info on the strains, I did expect they would be a lot taller than the height they would have so I used the l.s.t with the in mind. We live and learn while #alwaysgrowing and I expect the light would have built a good foundation if i had began with it from seedling . A lot of pics but it has been a busy few days . Lol
With just a week or so left to go until the waiting game on drying really begins , I am hopeful on a decent yield on the six ladies but do have to slow the pace down now I have distribution issues to consider. Lol . Looking forward to sampling the Amnesia haze when it is done now.
Have a fun week folks , Christmas soon.

And with that said . Sorry for the long delay guys. Illness took control a little then got kicked into touch and now we have this .....
DAY 81 FLOWERING :
The Amnesia haze has had some very extensive dark periods due to flu ( I know , Shakespeare's spirit is in me!)
The #3 Lady had well over 6 days total dark with #2 following closely at 4 days. The #1 got none . This was not intentional but should make an interesting comparison in about a weeks time when I can trim them up and actually jar them. I only managed a few shots of them before I finally hung them as I was not fir enough to keep going at the time and did the very bare minimum needed to hang them. Trimming is going to be a pain in the ass with all then leaf left on but needs must and can sometimes give a perfect dry/cure as they slowly change. Some of the colours that came at the end were stunning on the fans .

They are all slowly drying in a very cold 5°c with lots of airflow around them to keep the nasties from forming

I took the Critical cheese out today too and sadly turned the warmth and welcome of the Viparspectra p4000 to 0. I am so impressed with the results that this light achieved from an already low canopy . I will be looking forward to the next run doing the whole life cycle with it to really see what it can do there too. I will say more co e harvest time but felt I needed to add this.
The critical is looking so nice and stinks just like any good critical should. Touch it and it wants to stay tour friend !!!. Sticky as hell for such an innocent looking girl . She has gone into the drying box for a quicker dry as the trimming time needs spreading g out now as the next run lands soon too. Only got so much time....

With this all said , I wish you all a brilliant Christmas day and a 2022 like no other ever. Be well growmies

Hi Growmies. To keep up to speed I felt it was worth a quick update. The low and slow is going good but in order to keep on top I now need a slight increase in speed so that the next harvest will have somewhere to dry too. After a week hanging in the cool (8°c) , draughty eaves , they are still fairly damp due to the leaves being kept on for the dry. This will aid the conversion of any mobile nutes still going and give a more even drying . Not planned but necessary this run. I have now moved them into big cardboard boxes to complete the final part and placed these in the corner of my space with the dehumidifier. So far I have lost 1 small secondary bud to mould that I caught a few days into the dry and removed. The #3 could not fit in so she is hung behind the boxes to limit the light getting to those terpenes. Not ideal but a quick fix while I wait for the others to finish and the whole room can become the drying tent.

while they look so nice and chunky , their overall size looks a lot less than when I was in full swing and feeding. Their shrinkage is always heart wrenching to watch and seeing the end yield compared to the huge leafy beasts we grew is even worse.lol. The trimming will be a pain in the ass too as I will have to scissor them and there is a lot of curled leaf to add fun to the party !!!. I hope to trim in about 4-5 days now I have moved them into the main tent. Watch this space!!!.
